Indian Premier League - General Discussion

For all the talk about Kohli being a permanent selection for the T20 WC, the most crucial question to be asked is: "Is Ravindra Jadeja an automatic selection for the T20 World Cup this year?".

According to me, its a resounding NO! Just as a bowler, he has been below par for many years now. There has actually been a case for Jadeja to turn himself into a specialist batsman. And this year, even his batting has nosedived. With people like Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, SKY, Venkatesh Iyer available as finishers for India and the likes of Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal doing way better as bowlers, I will actually be surprised if Ravindra Jadeja boards the plane to Australia for the T20 WC. If India need an extra spinner who can also finish games, might as well take Rahul Tewatia to Australia.

Mark my words- He will be on that plane. Indian selectors dont have the balls to drop anyone.

I had great expectations of Rahul Dravid when he took over- as in, creating a structure for each format and all. So far, there doesn't seem to have been any strategic thought process behind the team selections. All I have seen is an increase in the number of India caps being handed out. People making their debut have gone up considerably- they end up playing a game or two and then there's nothing on that front.

In an ideal scenario- I'd select Washi over Jadeja anyday. Chahal and Kuldeep too, have done enough to warrant their consideration in the side. Well, anyhow, the World Cup is still some months away- Lets see what happens.

Nothing but just the Captaincy taking a toll on him.

Good to see Kohli finally open the batting for RCB. His average of 43 as an opener with a SR of about 137 could help them get some quick runs in the Powerplay and would mostly get them off to a good start.

Today is RCB's day

Tewatia is also a below-average bowler.

Yeah you might not have subscribed Star Sports 1 to be able to watch the pre-match show. :p
It's a miracle I'm getting some time match itself. Pre match is out of question.

Difficult for RCB to win from here. Looks like those extra 23 runs from R.Parag will be the deciding factor.

And Kohli, it's not even funny anymore. He just can't seem to put bat to ball.

RCB are terribly under-utilizing Hasaranga who bats in the top six for his national side. Feel like DK this early is a mistake.

HaarCB back in business :spy:spy

Shahbaz took his revenge on DK, for almost running him out in the same over!! But RCB would've said "you could've gotten out instead, stupid" :D
