Microsoft are rich anyway but they are making a new xbox 360 anyway and is call Xbox Elite

this one is looking good

is going to cost around £330

The Elite is almost exactly the same as the Xbox 360, just with a bigger hard drive. It has one with 120GB of space on it.

It looks nice in black, but it wouldn't be worth an extra ?50! :p

I'm not sure how someone can use 120GB on a console.

20GB is alot For me but I think 120GB is A bit Too much
Let me guess, 60GB is just right?

The extra space works out great for Microsoft, the more space you have the more downloadable content you can buy, and I think that having too much space is better than not having enough.

I have to say the HDMI port is probably the most important thing about the elite for some people, and I think many with big TVs will get the Elite just for that.

I wouldnt pay £50 for black, i would rather spraypain the one i already have

The elite is just a money making scheme for Microsoft. They dont care about improving the experience for the consumer, hence the poor build quality thats been reported with the elite. The only big feature in the elite is the Hdmi port. Woop de fricken woop. Call me Mr Picky but i am not paying £50 for a spray paint, a new hard-drive and a new port, and i have an HD Tv. If they had included an HD-dvd or Blu-ray drive then they could have pursuaded more people to buy them. But its just another big money making scheme if you ask me.

But the Elite version comes with HD-DVD drive, isn't it? Or, unless it can be purchased without it, I am confused.

Damn, my Xbox had Ring of Death today, when i turned it on??

How come it suddenly did this, one day it was fine, now its broken?

Yup, you have to return it back to the shop, hoping that you still have the purchase receipt.

No, the HD-DVD drive is an optional extra (it plugs in a usb port) and isn't included in the Elite.

Why doesn't Microsoft people understand. They should release 40,60,80 GB HDD's for Older Xbox 360 consoles, and provide them by default in new packings

It isnt ever going to be included in a 360 either. Microsoft have already pretty much given up support for it. Blu-ray is by far the more successful format so far. MS are even considering releasing a Blu-Ray additional drive, in a similar fashion to the hd-dvd extra. I wouldnt consider buying an HD-Dvd player in the near future if i was a 360 owner. Seems Sony have finally won a format war :D

My parents know a lot of top people at Toys R Us, so i should be fine...

Im sure they know more about business and making money than you...

Ring of Death? Is that when the flashing yellow lights around the on switch turn red? I currently can't fix that...

You dont need your receipt, you just need to phone microsoft. They now provide a 3 year warranty. Also, if you sound really peed off on the phone to them there is a chance you could get some "compensation" in the form of a Microsoft Game Studios game, such as Viva Pinata, PGR 3 etc. Phoning Microsoft is the better option. You'll get a free replacement console within a few days.
