PES2008 Demo

To me, the graphics dont look like they have changed for the better and the players look much scrawnier:(

Iam downloading now, cheers mate!
If you have an Intel GMA 950 or other unsupported cards like me, I daresay that not downloading the demo might a time-saver for you. I spent an hour downloading the demo, but the game refused to run at all.
I hope your graphics card is poor because that looks shockingly bad.
Gas has two HD Radeon 2900 XTs in crossfire mode. Enough said. ;)
Henry is not that scrawny

the players look much scrawnier:(
Seeing the videos, the player models look a little skeleton-like indeed. Hope the gameplay is decent though.

I didnt mean the demo, I meant gas's video Naveed:p But anyways, you dont even think it will run on the minimum settings in the full game? I have seen the System Minimum requirements.

I doubt you know. I have a GMA 950 too and i have refrained from downloading it.

And yes, the graphics in Gas's video look very very, something like outdated. Player models look like basketball players!

I doubt that fact Hooper. I tried to run the game at the lowest settings, plus play around with the OpenGL settings (which Kshitiz should know how limited it is), but the only result I received was get an error message saying that my PC failed to meet the requirements. I really do not know what type of optimizations will be made so you will be able to play the full game better, but even if you do, I will doubt the fact that you will be able to maintain a decent framerate throughout even with low settings.

And if you have seen the minimum system requirements for PES 2008, could you please post them here? The only requirements I have seen is the recommended requirements for the game, the one that states that you should have at least 1 GB RAM and XP as your operating system to run the game properly.

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Windows XP
Intel Pentium IV 1.4GHz or equivalent processor
512 MB RAM
4.0GB free hard disk space
4x DVD-ROM Drive
DirectX 9.0c compatible video card. 64MB Pixel Shader 1.1 (NVIDIA GeForce 3 or
ATI Radeon 8500 video card)
DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
DirectX 9.0c or higher (included on Disc)
Multiplayer: TCP/IP 192 kbps or higher
Windows compatible keyboard
640 x 480 monitor resolution

Playing with OpenGL settings wouldnt make any difference since the game uses Directx, so no role of OpenGL.

Also, try running it through 3d- Analyse. I cant really understand why the game wouldnt run on a GMA 950, it really should. I think you should give it to any bug section of PES2008 if it exists, as the Intel GMA 950 supports Pixel shader 2.0 .

The problem may be a vertex shader one though.

Well I'm playing the demo to death at the moment, and decided to take a few screens for you all with the settings on high.

Problem is, Fraps scaled them down something horrible so il put one up and see how it looks.

This is Fernando Torres looking on as I take a 2-1 lead against Spain as France.

Hairs off and eyes should be darker but impressive graphics! Can you post any in game screenies?

OK, here is Torres in PES6 to show you a graphics difference.

And in PES2008...

Also, some people asked for a gameplay shot. Fraps was being a pain so I just took this.

Sorry its so big, the quality gets even worse when I put it down.

The actual image was taken at 1800x1440 on my widescreen moniter. Fraps has kindly butchered it down to 1024x768. Still ok though.
