Yeah he is only 24, and IMO he can be the next "Shoaib Akhtar".. we need him.. :: PCB STFU.

And his Test bowling average is 47.87... however he can improve that.. got many more years to come in cricketing life..

im with you usy, sami has talent, can bowl complete jaffas at times, but can also bowl som terrible stuff. he is quite like saj mahmood, both have great talent but really need to be more consistent.

Sami is the most hard working player I have ever seen for a while.

His bowling average in ODI's is not bad, and he's improving. He's currently captaining Karachi Whites.

Good ODI bowler but fell of after a great start in Tests. i dont think that he will get many test oportunities in the future because of Shoaib,Gul,Asif and now even Tanvir, but with those 4 injured more than they play its a posibilty. the thing with Sami is nobody knows whats wrong with him that he cant bowl good in tests, its probably a confidence thing.

if you ask me he should be a regular in pakistans ODI team, with Asifs injury problems maybe play asif in half the ODIs and Sami in the other ones, i think that he is a better ODI bowler than Tanvir.

No. Sajid is faster. When on form, he bowls at consistant 90mph. i read an article where he claimed he could bowl 100mph if he really tried but it would wreck his shoulder or something. If Saj could gain some confidence and control he could be a very deadly fast bowler. I've not really seen much of Sami so i cant judge him that well, but from what i have seen, i've not been overly impressed. I dont think he'll be the next Shoaib.

I have to agree with Usy on this one even though King Pietersen has obviously seen Sami bowl at least once. My two cents is that Sami is the quickest bowler in the world on his day, consistantly clocking over 90mph (146kph) and I remember him outpacing Akhtar during several series in which the two have played together.
