Man if u have ever played cricket and bowled with this type of action you will know that you can bowl doosra, teesra and even chowtha with this action. he should be banned.

Okay then, when at the height of the controversy it was found many of the worlds bowlers were over the times legal limit (the law at the time was stupid and unfair anyway), so if Murali is to be banned then so the likes of McGrath, etc. Interestingly so many coaches say to their young budding fast bowlers "Watch McGraths action" it's a 'classic' bowling action yet was over the legal limit at the time. You can't compare him to a typical off spinner (let's say Shaun Udal, Harbhajan Singh, etc), his action is unique to himself, it's within the laws the game.

Never let facts get in the way of a good chinwag.

Maybe because he's been trying to clear his action for the last how many years? And he's just frustrated that there are still people out there doubting him even though he's gone through numerous tests and sees this as just sour grapes on Warne's part?

Warnie is not great bowler either. It is easy to get cheap wickets if you are bowling after McGrath, Lee and Gillespie have one all the damage and you are bowling at lower order players.
Also he took most of his wickets against England and SA both of which sides play spin pathetically. Imagine if he had to bowl against Australia when openors have given start of 150 runs rather than when opposition players are just playing to save the test and you can have as many fielders close by as possible.

Have you not seen Warne bowl then because you sound like you've just been looking at statistics.

He's taken wickets against all test playing nations and to average 25 as a spinner is phenomenal over a period of over 100 test matches.

They made up. I had expected as much. The sound bites from Warne did seem as though what he was saying was that he should be tested to shut everyone up, but it probably came out differently in the media.

Are you forgetting Tendulkar is a great player?

Tendulkar is one of the few players on a list that have managed to get the better of Warne through out his career.

You raise a good point as well.
He really loves a challenge and lines up batsmen and only the Tendulkar's and the Pietersen's have the postive play to fight back.

One of the reasons I feel he's a better bowler than Murali and the reason he would of made a great test captain.

Being an Aussie, im definately biased but really, no matter what you say about their actions, the teams that they played or their off field problems, they are both such great bowlers that i dont think you could really split or compare their bowling.
Therefore I voted for Warnie because of his cricket brain, his on field prescence, the way he could lift a team and inspire his teammates and his batting.

But then that means murali has played almost 60 less test matches than warne and although murali would be on 550 wickets he'd still have a higher average. If he had played more against england and south africa he would've been higher than warne. You gotta remember than murali has played more against india, the best spin playing nation, while warne has played more against england and SA, the two worst nations against spin in the established teams. Lets not forget shane warne played with mcgrath, one of the best fast bowlers in the world, so a lot of the time warne probably got his wickets in the middle order who just got onto the pitch while murali took his wickets a lot of the time on established batsmen.

I often dont like comparing the two but in terms of team effectiveness murali is more special because he was the heart and soul of their team while warne shared it with mcgrath. Not to mention far superior fielding. Its a lot of factors but to say murali is worse then warne is wrong. To say warne is worse is also wrong. Celebrate them just like celebrate ponting and steve waugh. Friendly discussion yes but dont have a verbal abuse and debate on a man who was deformed causing him to bowl the way he does now. God you guys make me sick when murali comes to pitch and start booing him. Shane warne took drugs mate. He shouldn't be playing because he cheated. Its the same sad argument.
