Can we get some new umpires?

It's not racial abuse, it's nationalist, the people of the West Indies and South Africa arent a race.
FYI this is the Legal definition of racism as recognised by the UN

"the term "racial discrimination" shall mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, color, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life."

Kev you know what I've been tring to tell this to people for so long, they wont understand.

Certainly in England and South Asia it hasn't, its relatively new (in its current forms), it has been around for quite a while in Australia though. Besides just because it's popular are you so weak willed as to think its ok?
Not JUST because it's been popular. I was and am differing to your view that cricket in the past was somehow more gentlemanly but has been corrupted with evil now. A typical grandfatherlike comment (you're showing your age Kev :p ).

No, seriously, I think cricket will be poorer without sledging. The umpires are there to regulate the action of the players. Players nowadays will get away with a lot less than what they used to. I bet in 1910 one could (and probably did) get away with almost anything.

Umpiring in this match was pathetic. If India had walked off the pitch, I would have understood. Symonds not given thrice, Ponting not given once, Hussey not given once, Jaffer, Dravid and Dada given when they weren't. I mean, thats just one too far. Absolutely pathetic. They did a fine job ruining what should have been a competitive game of cricket.

Umpiring isn't a thankless job. They do it badly, they should expect this, like any job.

Agreed throughly.......Although if anyone remembers when India were playing one match in Kolkata Steve buckner gave Sachin out in fading light when the ball was miles away from the bat.

That too after he refused to let the batsmen go off the field for bad light. :D

Yes....he himself wasn't visible.....:p How cruel......come to India baby..come to Mumbai.....We will surely remind him....

No offence, but you have to get on with it, it's life.

We will....remember Darrel hair? We supported you...and expect the same here.....and yeah...we have to get on....the match can't be re-played.

well you are moaning about nothing, so I have to say that.
Nothing? We had a chance to beat Australia in Australia, heck, we did beat them, but the umpires decided otherwise! That puts us 2 down in the series, and not to mention our place in the ICC Test Table will suffer. That is nothing? Please leave the thread then if thats how you feel.
