Can we get some new umpires?

Well surely Saqqi would have had another wicket or so :p..

you want cricket to change?

Only for the better. :p Yes, when millions of dollars are at stake, sport is no longer just sport. It's big business and it's important for most decisions to be right.

Of course there will be mistakes occasionally, but what we don't want is four or five bad decisions in a single day that will affect the outcome so much.

and another thing,
this decision had a greater impact on world cricket than you think,
take a look at the what if thread

Oh yeah, There have been NO replies to that topic and you were the last person to post in that thread aswell. So it doesnt seem to have been as big as you have made it.

"Life is never fair" i'm sure you've heard that before.

Cricket has always been A Gentleman's game, sports should be played as a sport, it's there to entertain us and for fun. Yes we have some people who take it to the next level and stuff.

I agree that it can change a result of a match, but all this happens. If you loose a game, or series does not mean that it's the end of the world, or you'll never play another match ever again.

There are the happy days and there are some sad ones. For sure the umpire would have nothing against any team (in that case India).

Maybe in the time of players like W.G.Grace. It's not a Gentleman's game any longer. That's an outdated terminology.

Yes, but what does that have to do with getting things right if you CAN? Do you allow a mistake to go un-corrected even though it might affect a player's career even?

I'm not sure about that though. Especially with regard to Steve Bucknor :p

what?
you think we having a tea party here?
does every post have to be replied to?

besides its got nothing to do with you if i make anything big,

When did i say anything about a tea party??
If a post is replied to it obviously means something and is debatable but yours hasnt even been debated.

you obviously need to either read the title of the other thread or learn what the words mean,

how do you know i started a debate in the other thread?

Well because the whole thread was made for debating what might have happened if it had gone the other way, Anyway you may have started a debate but nobody answered it. And yes i can read the Thread Title is
The 'What If' Thread
And the words mean; What would have happened if something else had happened. So im not an idiot. And clearly you need to get over something that happened nearly 9 years ago.
