Surrey fight there way back into this match with a thrilling 97 runs scored in the last 15 overs to now have Scotland worried about an even bigger total than what they thought they could restrict Surrey too.
Mark Ramprakash bought up his 50 with two brilliant sixes and seven fours to lead the fight back with Mark Butcher playing the support role with a well needed 41, Butcher was finally beaten with a brilliant slow swinging ball from Nel who disguised the ball very well which deceived Butcher and took out his off stump, his innings might of been a bit slow but it now leaves Surrey with wickets in hand, lets now see what total they can reach.

Brilliant batting by Ramprakash. The final 10 overs will be crucial.

Brilliant graphics. Infact its very neat and detailed with the worm and the manhattan graph. Great work mate. Keep it up :)

8/227

Surrey ended there inning this evening posting a total of 227 with the loss of 8 wickets. Mark Ramprakash was the pick of the batters making a well deserved 103 of 105 balls with Mark Butcher making a modest 41 and a quick fire 19 for Batty who ended up not out.
Blain was the pick of the bowlers for Scotland picking up 3 wickets for 29 off his 10 overs with Nel also picking up 3 for 44 and Maiden also picking up 2 wickets which should impress the selectors to keep sticking with him for at least the 20/20 againts England.

0/52

Scotland are of to a flyer here at Trent Bridge, chasing 228 for victory today, Scotland are 0/52 of 10 overs, if they can keep this up they are in for a comfortable win here, thats not to say Surrey havn't had there chances either both Ormond and Tanvir have had lbw's denied and have both beaten the bat, on one occasion the ball narrowly missed the stumps which has left them wondering what they got to do to get a wicket, but thats not taking away any credit to Smith (24*) and Lockhart (23*) who both have played brilliantly picking up singles and have both found the boundary rope on numerous occasions.

Surrey have hit back hard at Scotland in the past 15 overs taking 4 wickets for 66 runs, this has no doubt ingnited a spark in the fielding which was rewarded with Scotland's skipper Ryan Watson for a duck off 0 balls.

The innings had started well for Scotland when Smith and Lockhart combined for a 58 run partnership before Tanvir striked with a brilliant ball to dismiss Lockhart then straight after that Watson was run out without facing a ball, which bought on Brown to the crease, but soon after Smith fell to a top edge of an attempted pull shot off the bowling of Ormond, then a small partnership formed between Brown and Watts but that didnt last long as Ormond struck again to remove Browns stumps out of the ground.

So at the crease we have Watts (19*) and Poonia (19*) who have steadied the ship and got scotland over 100 runs with half the innings still yet to be played.
