England and Scotland both prepair for Red Bull twenty/20 clash

England and Scotland shared a training session here today at Lords, both teams used the facilities here, while one team was using the nets for bowling and batting practice the other used the field running drills preparing for the sell out twenty/20 match here tomorow night.

I cought up here with Andrew Flintoff who shared a few words about the upcoming match." Yeah I'm great, been in training here for a few weeks now, prepairing for this series ever since the county championship ended, after watching the match with Surrey I think we are with a good chance of going undefeated, but I wouldn't right Scotland off though as they have put together a good team now ever since the structure of cricket over there has improved". Thanks Freddie and all the best, and stay with our coverage as we prepare for the Red Bull twenty/20 clash.

England announce twenty/20 lineup

England have picked a very strong side here for tonights twenty/20 clash againts Scotland. Collingwood has taken up the captaincy role and is very likely to keep it for the remainder of the series, should be very interesting night with England picking a very experienced batting lineup to go with a very youthful bowling attack.

Coin Toss

Here we are at London at the famous Lords cricket ground, it was raining quite hard here this morning but it looks like it has cleared up and the game will go ahead as planed. I'm here in the centre of the pitch with the captains of both teams who are about to toss the coin up.

Collingwood tosses the coin up and Watson calls heads, let me just get down a bit and see what it is, ahhhhh tails it is Paul? " We will have a bat first up thanks". So why have you decided to bat here today as there will be a bit of moisture in the pitch? " Yeah it is a bit of a gamble to bat first but we are very keen to put up a score that Scotland will hopefully wont be able to get". Can you also tell me why Kevin Pieterson isn't playing? " Kevin pulled up a bit sick this morning, so in saying that it does give one of the other guys who wouldn't of been in the team normaly a chance to impress the selectors". Ok thanks Paul.

Ryan tell me what you think of bowling first? " Well great actually I was going to put England in, so none of our plans have changed and we can attack as we planed". Tell me about Hamilton coming back into the side? " Can't wait he's been a great crickter for Scotland over the years and a born leader on the field, so it gives us alot of strength in all areas of the game". Ok thank Ryan and good luck, there you have it, England decided to bat first on a preety miserable day so far, see you back here in a little while for the start of play.

5/78

After being belted for 44 runs of the first 3 overs, Watson decided it was time to bring on Hamilton, he bowled with great line and length, which started to put pressure back onto Prior (21) and Maddy (32) to make a strange call for a single which lead to Prior's dismissal. Soon after Hamilton got the wicket of Maddy but it was Lyons who stole the show after removing the captain Collingwood (9) with a beauty which bowled him from outside leg to dart back into the stumps then Solanki (6) and the big wicket of Flintoff (7) were all caught in the deep. Great start by Scotland but will they punish England for there dreadful start?

England all out for 135

Scotland have done what no one had exspected them to do and they deleived a great spell of bowling to bowl out England for 135 during the 18th over.

Scotlands captain started the downfall with the wicket of shah(1) who tried to play a cover drive but got an outsside edge that went straight to the keeper, then Hamilton and Lyons also picked up another wicket each to remove Bell(23) and Broad(19). Nel came back for only 1 more over removing Kirtley(3) and Anderson(0) in consecutive balls, which had him on a hatrick but bowled a no ball, which Panesar(7*) played comfortably. The 9th wicket lasted 13 runs before Bell(23) was caught in the deep off the bowling of Hamilton.
