I don't think I'll be buying any Switch game from Big Ant ever again. This isn't the first time they've messed up things. Big Bash had its own set of issues with patching and performance which took a long time to fix. Big Ant should know that they aren't the only publisher that creates games...

In US eshop, Big Bash Boom is listed as releasing on 13th December for $29.99 https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/big-bash-boom-switch Perhaps that's when the new patch for Switch will also be released.

How about a League Of Legends like system where you can rate the other player after an online match? This way you know which players are more reliable than others when choosing who to play against. Also, a bit harsh, but the LoL ban system for quitting matches is also very good in practice.
