Still some big knocks are in due for the little master to get full 10/10 from Trev. :p Who knows, it might happen in next test as well. ;)

Ackerman half century guides Leicestershire to 5 wicket win

middlesexvsleicestershizp6.jpg

In reply Leicestershire also had a slow and steady start. With a few wickets
dropping in the middle overs, Ackerman was able to stick at it and score a
mighty fine 71 from 93. Nixon took on Ackerman's role once he departed, and
finished the run chase himself, scoring and unbeaten 39. Murali Kartik was
Middlesex's best bowler, as he took 2 for 32 from his 8. A well deserved
victory for Leicestershire, which moves them from 8th to 6th in the table.

A low scoring game there mate. Ackerman's knock was crucial. This story is fantastic. I really hope you can keep this up as it is very realistic :clap

Nottinghamshire thumped in Southampton

natwestpro40div1hampsvnmt0.jpg

The target was never going to be enough, as the sun came out during the
innings interval to rub salt into the wounds of Nottinghamshire. Michael Lumb
hit a superb unbeaten 72 in 80 balls, and showed all the Nottinghamshire
batsmen how it was done. Clough took the solitary wicket of Crawely for 25,
but the game was long gone. Lumb and Ervine coasted over the victory line
with a massive 103 balls to spare. Hampshire now move to top, 1 point above
Lancashire, with 2 wins and a no result from their 3 games.

That was a convincing win especially when someone in the team plays like an ODI innings and with more than 100 balls remaining. :) Keep it up!

Banerjee and Hodnett top notch for Gloucestershire

englandprospectsreport1li0.jpg

Vikram Banerjee - LVCC Div 2, Gloucestershire vs Derbyshire - This Gloucestershire
left arm spinner, is seen to many Gloucestershire fans as a threat to Monty
Panesar in the England squad. Banerjee certainly showed that he had potential
with 7 match wickets in the 4-day game against Derbyshire. Crucial wickets
including those of Aussie stars Travis Birt and Simon Katich, were among his
victims in two fine innings worth of bowling. With his batting better than
Panesar, who knows that maybe in the future Banerjee could be a big
challenge for the England spinning slot.

Grant Hodnett - LVCC Div 2, Gloucestershire vs Derbyshire - Hodnett hit two superb
knocks against Derbyshire, including an unbeaten 130 to save the game for
his side. With his side under pressure after Derbyshire declared with a lead of
332, Hodnett stayed put with wickets falling around him and posted a fine
century. The South African born batsmen qualifies for England via the Kolpak
ruling, and could be part of England's future plans if he continues to progress
and perform like recent times.
