2008 Homeless World Cup

I thought I'd bring this up, for it's a great initiative. Basically homeless people around the world travel to one place to face off in the Homeless World Cup. Home - Homeless World Cup

This year it's being held in Melbourne, with the main stadium Federation Square, which is basically the centre of Melbourne's city, the last stop for all trains and where many major events are held, although I think this will be the first sport related event there.

I'm going to the city tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to stop by and see a game or two. Shows you how great sport can be sometimes.

I've seen a past Homeless World Cup on TV, maybe ESPN. Can't remember where it was held but I think Russia may have won it.

no surprises but now they are all wanting to stay here, and running away

No offence to Afghanistan and stuff but theres more homeless people in those sort of places than Australia.
