Bangladesh will continue to grow, will be a good year for Mohammed Ashraful i reckon. He is their big shining light, and if he has a good year, they could start to gain some sort of consistency.

A. Paul Harris, the South African spinner. If he tours England in the summer, he will make a massive impact. Possibly even Warne-esque.

Depends on what grounds but the best youngster I think will be Cook. Otherwise I think Broad or Suresh Raina could make their names in international cricket next year

Domestically in England It has kind of, certainly in terms of popularity and media coverage.

Don't know, not too fussed but unless it's a short tournament I can't see it being established as a major tournament with the amount of cricket played currently.

they won't beat Australia however I hope to see them develop their test game more

I think 2008 will be the year of the subcontinent teams however I reckon England and Australia will also have strong years and England will develop their young squad a lot this year. ODI's I think the biggest improvers will be England and tests it will be India or Pakistan but I don't see England or Australia losing their places unless they have some really bad results.

Things I would like to see this year are Bangladesh improve in tests, Englands youngsters thrive especially Cook and Broad, Autralia to put everyone in their place and prove themselves as the best, if not quite so far ahead and the Zimbabwe issue to be sorted. Also the barmy army to absolutely own every set of supporters in the world as they have done for the last 10 years because since the Ashes they haven't been at their best.

After losing their senior players it is unlikely that they will remain at the no.1 position. Maybe in the Tests they can.

Pakistan play Zimbabwe next year, and thats about it on their tour thingi.. and Australia i think in home, which wont take place IMO...

Well the position is up for grabs.Its a more open environment and other nations should take advantage of this.

Domestically it will with IPL and the Champions League.
With the ICC imposing a max-7 matches to be played in the year,its hard to see it get internationlly.
Or ,i'd say wait for the Beijing Olympics,you will know then.
