It's just more ICC hypocrisy. Wouldn't happen to India, Pakistan, Australia or England.

They said yesterday, in respect to Afghanistan, that they do not involve themselves with how boards are run and the ACB "have to operate within the laws of the country and the rules set by the government."

For some reason they can't see how stupid they look.

Sri Lanka is an easy target, BCCI & PCB are full of political interference but ICC will never suspend their money makers!

The only thing I will remember Pakistan in this world cup for. Such a top class show, tremendous analysis, honest opinions and unbiased at its best.

Hope this continues in some form. The 5 there are top notch and class, something a lot of former Indian players need to learn.

Cause the Lankan govt.did it directly. Hence, the sanctions. Other boards will have govt planting their stooges- there's no direct interference.

Can't. Cause both involve the country's judiciary. In the case of Pakistan, the PM has made a rule that the patron in chief of the PCB can be appointed by him. The other committee members can be elected or chosen by the patron, not by the PM.

In case of India, when the BCCI was asked to step aside, the Indian judiciary took over. Had the ICC banned India they would have lost in a court of law and would have been at the mercy of the BCCI for years to come. At the point of turmoil, the ex-BCCI president Manohar was in charge of the ICC- he very well knew the workings of the judiciary, since he was a lawyer himself.
