Try setting a record like that without playing the same shot (i.e. advance straight slog) every single ball. I don't know which AI patch you are using but Tutsi's allows you to continue playing that shot so maybe try Ravi's or Radaga's.

Exactly, it's not even an achievement with that bug- I made 629 off 20 overs before I knew it was a bug

Mate, every single one of your shots is in the same place and as Brad points out it's been done before anyway.
And yeah, I'm sure if I had the time or inclination I could do it too but sadly I have neither.

The later ones do, the earlier ones didn't- and it's not a reflection of the difficulty of the patch anyway as it's actually a bug
