Well after Rafa Benitez failed to get any trophy last season the owners had every reason to be

unhappy about ...A lot was expected from them ...they were expected to win the premiership with the kind of team they had. ..but the

hype did not give them any results..they finished a dissappointing 4th ...!!

and they lost to chelsea in the champions league semi finals ...!!

Will this be the season rafa get the sack ..or will the owners give him one more oppurtunity to prove himself...Stay tuned to find out







THE NEXT WEEKEND :

The liverpool board has stated that it will not sack benitez and will extend his

contract further...the club was stated to be moving in the right direction

and the form of the players was criticised..

the owners had pledged their full support to Rafa and his men ..and hope

that this season brings some silverware to anfield!

After his first press conference rafa benitez admitted that had all the elements that could win them the premier league and he would love to add a little bit more of the fire power that would help the team ...!!!
and after much talk he indicated that his short lists were Klass Jan Huntelaar from Ajax...Juan Roman Riquelme from villareal...David Villa from Valencia ...and Silva from valencia...he went on to state that if any one of these players would come to liverpool his club would surely win the title

The Next Weekend : Liverpool makes bids for Van Huntelaar and to the surprise of many Cani from Villareal
Both the bids are accepted and they are accepted to complete a medical in a few days
for the information
Liverpool have said to be made a bid of 16.75 million pounds for the tall striker to come and strut his stuff at anfield

Also Cani has said to be brought by liverpool at 8 million pounds..
Cani is a left winger and is able to play on both sides of the wings .

Benitez is said to be happy about his transfers and has urged his supporters to trust him on these transfers


In other news Liverpool have reportedly accepted a bid of 19 million pounds for Mohammed Sissoko..the mali international is one of the best players at the club but has not been in the best of forms..
his move to the italian giants has given him one more life to start his career
the money from his move has funded the move of Van Huntelaar

Cani and Silva would be good additions but not sure about Riquelme, despite his quality. Villa would be an incredible buy aswell but with the sale of Sissoko to a big Italian club could help fund the purchases of the players.
