Umpires know nothing about AFL. All they probably do is look at the stat sheet and see who got the most possesions. Nick Riewoldt hardly got any votes but that's because he's a forward and he doesn't get the ball too much. However he probably was the most infulenctial player on the ground. They should be getting the 3 votes.
