Adelaide collapse against Grand Finallist

The Adelaide Crows have lost their Round 4 clash against the Swans at Aami Stadium by 42 points infront of a dissapointed Crows crowd.

Again it was the Crows Goal kicking that let them down, they kicked 11, 18 for the match, and could of won the game if they had kicked straighter. Neil Craig and his men at training need to have a big think about practicing their shots on goal to be more accurate during games, and see if they can win some games from their own boot. "Our Forward line, isn't full of stars, Craig Said. But it is consitant and thats what we rely on each week.
We had Trent Hentschel out their tonight they had the "night". He booted 4 goals from Full Forward, but if it wasn't him, it would of been someone else. A Perrie (who kicked 2 goals), a Ricciuto someone like that would of kicked our goals tonight, but they way the game turned, Hentschel finished the night with 4 goals.

For the Swans, Barry Hall was dominated finishing the night with 5 goals. The power forward was too much for his underweight opponent in Basset who had to take the big forward, with the injury to Ben Rutten who usually takes Hall, and does a good job on the forward, but Rutten wasnt there tonight, so Bassett had the job. Bassett finished the night with 30 posseisons, but was clearly beaten in the weight divison against Hall. Nic Fosdikde, Nick Davis and Ryan OKeefe all finished with 3 goals, a handy spread of Goal Kickers there.

Crows loose another one

The Adelaide Crows have lost another match in the 2007 Premiership season. This time going down to the Fremantle Dockers at Subiaco by 26 points. The Dockers led by Matthew Carr who was the best man afeild outdone the Crows fairly.
Matthew Carr was dominate for the Dockers not onmly getting the possesions that he loves to do and do so well, he kicked 4 goals for the match which was a game high. Matthew Carr played as a Half Foward Flanker for most the afernoon, and really troubled the Crows from the beginning. Like i said, he finished with 4 goals, while having 27 possesions, and was judged best a field in a team performace from the Dockers.
Justin Longmuir played mainly forward for the match, with a few stints in the ruck, finished the game with 3 goals, while Fremantle Captain, Matthew Pavlich was also handy, kicking 3 goals aswell.

For the Crows, Captain Mark Ricciuto was good in the Forward Line, booting 3 goals, but only having the 7 possesions, the Captain didn't have a good afternoon getting the footy, but was displaying good leadership from the Forward Line, kicking 3 goals. Andrew McLeod and Matthew Bode were useful up in the Forward line, kicking 2 goals each, but it wasn't a high scoring match again for the Crows this week. And again, for the 4th week in a row, the Crows kicked more behinds then they kicked goals. Something they need to work on for the middle of the season.
Ben Rutten was good for the Crows in his 1st game of the season, after coming back from a back injury, he picked up 35 possesions, a game high for the 2005 All-Australian defender. Scott Stevens, Graham Johncock and Andy McLeod all gathered good numbers for the Crows, as they all played up Forward, so good signs there for the Crows. They just need to get some score on the board, maybe its time for Scott Welsh to come back into the team after his poor form in the SANFL.

Sydney owned you! You must be finding it a bit tough. Two crushing losses in a row.

I hate the game because you can win the first 20 games and u lose one game and you go crap for the rest of the season. Form is too strong in the game

Crows win and win big

The Crows have finally won a match, smashing the Magpies by 81 points at Aami Stadium. The Crows having 4 losses in a row, needed to win against the Magpies to gain some respect and to maybe get their season back on track. Even though the Crows won by 81 points, they could have easily doubled that and won by over 100 points if again they had kicked straight for goal. It has been a huge problem for the Crows over the 2007 season, again today kicking 18,18 for the match. Some say its a good scoreline with the Crows forward line to kick 18 goals, but they should realise that 18 behinds is not good enough.

The Crows had many goal kickers for the afternoon. 2 smalls in Andy McLeod and Graham Johncock who both played as running defenders last season, have been moved into the forward line by coach Neil Craig, and it has worked wonders for them. Both McLeod and Johncock kicked 3 goals, with Centre Half Forward Ian Perrie also kicking 2 goals. Trent Hentschel was also in the goals, with 2 multiples playing out of the sqaure at Full Foward, it was a good and even balance in the Crows Forward line this afternoon, sometrhing they have been relieing on for a decade since Jarman and Modra left the club.

The Pies didnt have much to highlight on, only kicking 6 goals for the game, but they would be happy that 23 year old Alan Didak kicked 4 of those 6 goals they converted. He was a lone hand up front for the Pies, not so the story for Adelaide.
Scott Burns was good through the midfield for the Pies, gathering 31 possesions, the highest on the field, but it was all the Crows with Nathan Bock playing a exellent game on Anthony Rocca (The pies main man up forward). Bock had 29 possesions and led the way for the Crows.
