its a vast improvement from the v-1.2

i'm amazed myself with this patch......now the confidence meter its the most important thing in cricket 2004. with this patch......i dare u hit sixes at regular intervals. even hitting a boundary will be difficult. coz at the starting on the inning the meter is really low and thats the main thing. somebody said that the meter has very little effect as he was able to hit sixes even when the meter showed low confidence.

so its recommended to use this patch atleast once....u'll love it...i gaurentee.

as i'm testing the patch - IND(me) vs BAN - i lost the series 3-0 and lost all the matches with atleast 40-50 run difference.

u'll really play and miss a lot coz i got bowled and LBW several times.

looking to release the patch in 1-2 days. thank you.

thats on easy and normal when the confidence metre doesn't matter.hard however is a whole different kettle of fish.that patch is going to make it way to hard.

I agree with a point made earlier - Cricket is an EXTREMELY tough game to program, and I really do congratulate HB studios - their game may be buggy, but at last they've delivered a cricket game that is both authentic, and fun to play. You really cannot dismiss ck2004 as crap,.......anyone remember cricket 99? now THAT was a crap game.


Ok, i agree, there are bugs-a-plenty - most of them are just on the surface. They do NOT affect the core gameplay...so why crib? Go get the game and have a blast - like i did, and still am!

someone should just pay the people who makes PES3 to WATCH cricket thoroughly for a few months and then make a game for it lol ... these japanese are good i bet they can come up with the perfect cricket game .. something like PES3 for footie .... i absolutely cannot believe that people are happy with this game instead of being disappointed with it .. i mean in todays world .. with so many GREAT simulations out for so many sports .. we are actually settlign for this bug ridden game .. i mean ok fine there are a few good things in it .. but when i play something like PES3 or fifa or nba or nhl etc.. i get so disappointed with cricket 2004 .. people have been complaining about fifa ... even im not a fan of fifa.. i prefer pes3 .. but believe me .. if cricket 2004 was as good as fifa 2004 .. we'd be on cloud number 9 ... very disappointing game indeed .. ive given all hope of playing a smooth cricket game .. and i have no expectations from EA sports in the future .. atleast as far as crickets concerned ... they just cant deliver lol

Naah....Not really. Fifa 2k4 stayed on my HD fro 1 hour - before i uninstalled it and went back to PES 3

No its not all that great. Its too easy even on hard. I can score too many runs and get em out easily by bowling ball after ball in the right spot. In one day mode the AI is stoopid for the batsmen, when they hit back down the pitch they wait at the crease and when the ball reaches a fielder they start runnin when its about to be thrown they get out by runnin half way down the pitch.

CCshopland of course has he right to have his own opinion. As they saw you cant please all the people all the time...
Nothing is perfect, and this cricket game isnt perfect. Its got its glitches, but then so have all games.
As far as Im concerned the games HAS improved over Cricket 2002. Theres more flexibility, and more features. The graphics have improved, even the strokes look good.

The sound, commentary sucks, but thats okay. After all you buy the game for its gameplay.
So all in all considering that Cricket isnt a major franchise game like FIFA and that the HB Studios are understaffed for this project I think they've done quite well under the circumstances.
As Cricket 2002 was better than its predecessors, because all things improve over time, even CCshoplands gameplay.

So for the meantime untill Cricket 2006 is released either dont play the game or...well there is a minor solution for his problem.

As soon as the main menu is loaded go to Options -> Game -> and change the difficulty setting to 'Easy'

I personally think the game is addictive and quite good
I admit lots of bugs and minor flaws but it's still the best cricket game by far and it's eating up lots of my time ;[

i personally think that people like this game because they dont have any other options ... this is the ONLY cricket game out there and we are forced to stick to this one ... honestly speaking if there was even half as muhc of variety for cricket games in terms of titles as there is with football titles out there ... we would be giving this game reviews of less than 50 percent ... someones got to encourage other companies to start making cricket games
