There are so many great Android phones out, and many released on such a regular basis that I thought we should have a specific thread for em. :)

I have a T-Mobile G1, the fist Android phone. It is kind of falling apart but I need to keep it until October when my contract runs out.

I'm really psyched about the Droid X. Looks amazing!

I'm gonna purchase a new Android phone next month, but I'm highly confused. I do want a phone with a fast processor(those 1Ghz beasts) but then again the phones which do have them, like the HTC Legend, don't have a hardware keyboard, so I keep coming back to the Motorola Milestone. The only worry I have with the Milestone is its slow CPU, and I'd like some hands down experience of someone. Can you tell NP10, if the slow CPU on the Milestone / Droid too big of a problem?

Not too big of a problem, no. Its weird actually. I can run navigation while playing music and running a couple of car apps altogether while checking my facebook and nothing is affected, but some random app can sometimes cause it to slow down to a halt for a few seconds, very rarely even causing it to crash. People who already have Froyo installed on their rooted phones say it makes everything ten times faster, so maybe hold off on getting one until Froyo is officially out.

Strange, because you'd think what's the need of a 1Ghz processor then? I've also heard reports of Milestone / Droid being overclocked to 800Mhz without problems, so that should speed things up a bit further.

Thing is, I can't hold off any longer, I've already waited ages. :p My only worry was that I might be purchasing a soon-to-be outdated phone, but then we only get outdated stuff in India. :(

I would get the legend over the droid. Even though it has a physical keyboard, it really is terrible. I've used my friends and it doesn't compare to even the g1. He mainly uses the on screen keyboard to type too.

Can you stream dodgy flash streams on this phone? You guys know what I am asking about :)

My contract is up and I am thinking Android

Oh, what's so horrible on it?

Besides, I hate that chin they put up on the Legend. How are you supposed to fit it inside a pocket?

Touch typing on Android is much better than your average touch phone. Trust me I have not missed physical keyboard. Only missed it while playing NES games.

Yes with new Android OS 2.2 version. Flash 10.1 runs on it.

Does it also have the Keypad like onscreen keyboard, like those in the Nokia phones?

There is like no feedback on the droid keyboard. Its just, flat. All the game emulators have onscreen d-pads and what not anyways.

The onscreen keyboard is very very good. You won't miss the physical keyboard.

@mark, that is the biggest reason I am probably going to stick with Android over the iPhone. Cricket on the go ftw.

Hey now :p

Nah, but having cricket on my phone would make my day. So jealous when I see those commercials for Channel 9 on your phone during the Ashes

I just read the new reports that are coming out today, stating that Android 3.0 has a minimum hardware requirement of a 1Ghz processor, and anything lower than that won't get the update. That's downright unacceptable for me and I'm dropping the idea of the Milestone. I've seen some videos and I think I'll be fine with an on-screen keyboard.

I want the Nexus One now, but since its not offically launched in India I'm worried about the service. I know there won't be any warranty, but if anything goes wrong, can I get it repaired (at a payable basis, of course) at any HTC workshop? The reason I just want the Nexus One is because I like the trackball and it gets every update first and foremost.
