Next maybe a women's cricket match? @Dutch

I dont see a lot of interest shown in women's cricket but I really like the variation in gameplay there as you have to adapt to situations , speed, small boundaries..Though would like to push boundaries back a bit more than now..
Yeah might give that a go. Was interesting to see how the medium pacers I faced in the game yesterday were the most challenging of the bowlers.

It'd be nice to see the batting mentality reflected in terms of the batsman taking time to get their eye on. A Brute hitting from ball one makes sense. A Conservative batsman would take a little longer, 10-12 balls maybe, of nudging it before looking to launch.

It'd be interesting to see if the beta team could look at mixing up the AI with mentalities in the short game and see what the impact is or if they are noticeably different like @Langeveldt says.
Yeah this is a good point: I know confidence tweaking us something being looked at. I will test a few mentalities: same batsman, same conditions, different mentalities, shorter formats.

When I played women's matches they really suffered from poor bounce and carry.

Yeah they do..So I have increased minimum and maximum speed to 60..Now carry is better , but could be even better..Something needs to be done regarding that..

This slow medium bowling , is then also exploited in online gameplay

Talking about women's cricket here..
Yes. Overall the very slow medium pace bowling in men's and women's game, needs to b looked at.
Slow loopy bouncers for example is a problem pending form dbc14 days

Ideally it would be improved if they just set the speeds for 0 skill points for bowling speed at the following:

Medium = 70mph
Fast Med = 80mph
Fast= 90mph

1mph for every 10 skill points

For women, reduced them by 10-15 mph - or whatever would be most realistic.

The other thing is 'good' balls seem to get punished with worse bounce/carry. A better 'penalty' would just be reduced seam, swing or accuracy rather than speed.

Yeah this is a good point: I know confidence tweaking us something being looked at. I will test a few mentalities: same batsman, same conditions, different mentalities, shorter formats.
In game, confidence is the only real indicator you get for why a batsman, so that's all I've really got to go off when critiquing it. Test seems Ok, apart from being too high when carried over in the second innings. My experiences bowling in ODI would suggest the batting confidence should start higher and my batting experience that bowlers need to get confident before their second spell.

@Dutch could you please try to play off the back foot more than front foot and let us know if you are able to get bat on ball as expected. I heard that back foot shots are now more powerful, but I was having an issue where if I played a defence shot to a good length delivery, the back foot animation was in such a way that the ball would go under the bat and hit the stumps. Essentially, can I play off the back foot to most deliveries like we could in DBC 14? Inability to do this really threw me off, as I'm mostly a back foot player, so would be nice if it is possible again.

Hello,
I had a couple of questions. Just read about the beta testing,
Would there be fixes to online part of the game ?
There are a lot of exploits which all players use and then the online experience is not fun.

Please excuse if it’s been discussed, thought asking would be simpler than searching ;)

I dont see how some of the exploits online can be remedied? Ban spinners and medium pacers? Curtail how wide they can bowl? Then the arseholes will find another way to be an utter twat. The best way is to only play with people who sign up to play in a certain way.

So I played a few overs only off the backfoot......all the green balls I could play reasonably comfortably on the backfoot.....defensively no problem.....more attacking it gets riskier because you really have to judge at which angle you go back on, you end up very quickly being in the wrong place.....but that could just be because I am not used to it, playing off the front foot mostly.......I think you can play more off the backfoot than it was but one of the more specialist batters will need to answer this....one of the beta testers plays on legend, max speed, no hud......and gets good scores......he should know!
