so with a bit more tinkering its quite possible to find the sweet spot!

I had some lbw and bowleds whilst batting: my theory is that reducing the edge probability brings these type of wickets more into play

No not quite: 100 is the game as it is now and anything lower diminishes the edge probability: so its about probability rather than certainty. Its there for those who feel there are too many nicks and edges.....100 does not mean always edge it.

Well that clears it up a little..........but I wish say 80 was like the game is now, so you could still turn edges up a bit more if you wanted to.
