Australia's team this summer

maybe the name of this thread could be changed to something like "Australia's test,ODI and 20/20 team this summer" so people could tell us what they think the australian team for the shorter format of the game should be this summer

he didnt really get as much turn as he normally does which was the problem.. at sydney or adelaide he would get alot more turn and bounce... but yea he does need to be a little more accurate and atleast and arm ball would be good, i dont think we have seen the last of him though.

I just dont think lee is going to be anygood to aus in a test match... untill he proves he can bowl fast in a test match or even a first class match he cant be put into a test team. sure he can bowl well in the nets... but as soon as he gets onto the field he will try to bowl express and injury himself again

He will have to prove himself for NSW in FC but he'll probably be playing a lot of ODIs. Of course the selectors only needed 1 FC match to welcome back Watson after his latest injury.

Still don't know about Siddle in the shorter form but he will get to prove what he can do in England and the Champions trophy. Hussey probably will be around too but if hes not in our plans for the 2011 WC then he should be moved along. So his replacement should be a big hitter. You probably could promote Johnson to 7 and play another bowler especially when the lineup I listed bats up to 10.

Yea hope hes given a go, would like to see how he goes at the next level. We definitely should try out another one of our spinners and maybe give Hughes a go in the ODI arena. It would force him to find a way to score on the legside.

The thing about hopes though is he and haddin have been the only two players that you could count on last year. I really dont see the Australian selectors dropping him. He makes handy 20-30's and can take a wicket or to and keep a good economy rate.

We need an all rounder in place of Hopes as I don't trust in Watson's bowling. Although as I mentioned we could go in with 5 bowlers anyway. But if we wanted an all rounder then Henriques would probably be next in line, he would be perfect if he got his act together being a fast scorer and more than handy bowler.

Henriques is not ready for the next level, but hes got the capability of hitting big as hes shown in the u19 WC and at times in our domestic comp.
