For some reason I can never take my batting form from the nets into a game. I hit the ball real well in the nets, don't get out and play all my shots, but when I get into a game for some reason all that seems to leave me. Also my "net" form has given me now 2* chances in the top order but each time I've made ducks, and out both to left arm pace bowlers. Granted yesterday's was a beauty, swinging in late to bowl me between bat and pad on middle stump. But does anyone have any ideas how to rectify these problems?:facepalm

(7 runs from 8 innings is hardly good stuff for a lower middle order player)

take it slow is my advise. Let a few balls go. You will understand the bowler better then play your shots. Hope this helps. Never rush in to your shots from ball one. (my mistake). Also have a clear idea in mind of the innings you have to play and shots that you should play. Set yourself up in preparation for the ball. Usually works.

I Played Very Well Last Year in a inetrschool competition in India
But This Year i Made many ducks and yes i play very well in Nets:(

You're probably starting to overthink everything. Just remember, watch the ball all the way onto the bat. Back yourself, and be confident. Batting is a very simple concept, that given enough input by enough different people, eventually can stop becomming instinctual. You can obviously spend hours in nets just working on certain shots and technical positions to try and make the various mechanics of each shot trained into your muscle memory, but you'll be surprised how much difference a clear head and knowing what you're going out there to try and do makes a difference.

lol, my suggestion is become a bowler :p

I am too:P

Thanks for the advice, my other problem is committing too much to the front foot, so I'm always in trouble with back of a length off cutters and bouncers...:facepalm
