Rain Pours Down at Edgbaston

ten10 logo.jpg

England completed just 6 Overs of there innings until rain-stopped-play. The rain failed to clear up and the match was concequently abondoned! :(

The Ten10 Charity Sheild rules clearly state that if a match is abandoned, then the winner will be decided by a Bowlout, before the start of the next match in the five match series. Conformation to follow!

saladguy added 3 Minutes and 59 Seconds later...

Giles Clarke (ECB Chairman) We can confirm that a Bowlout will take place to determine the winner of the second match of the Ten10 Charity Shield. The bowlout will take place approximately 1 hour before the 3rd match commences at Headingley Carnegie stadium. The Bowlout will also take place at Headingley Carnegie.

So there you go, Giles Clarke with the conformation of proceedings!

England Vs Stars XI: The Bowlout!

Michael Atherton: So Stars have won the toss and are to bowl first, and it looks like the captain, Darren Gough is stepping up.

1st Go, Stars XI (Darren Gough)

David Lloyd: Oh, just a couple of words from the umpire to Darren Gough about the proceedings.

Michael Atherton: Right we're ready Darren Gough is ready............running up..........Gough! And ......He has missed!

David Lloyd: Unlucky there Darren Gough, not what the Stars XI needed!

1st Go, England (Stuart Broad)

Michael Atherton: Ok, so Stuart Broad running up, can he put England into the lead?????............NO!

David Lloyd: Oh dear, oh dear! Very poor delivery from Broad! :noway

2nd Go, Stars XI (Andy Caddick)

Michael Atherton: Caddick to strike!!! Oh and you can see how much that means to him! :D

David Lloyd: This is what Ten/10 cricket is all about! 1-0 to the Stars! :)

2nd Go, England (Jimmy Anderson)

Michael Atherton: Anderson, pacing down the pitch, bowls it!!! No! Celebrations as Stars XI are well and truly in the lead!

David Lloyd: Can the Stars level the series now? There is a possibility! Jimmy Anderson is distraught!

Stay tuned for the next update!

Brilliant update mate, I'm becoming fixed on this story and my doctor said that's not good. All I've got to say is stuff him!

Great Update mate, keep it up!:)

Great stuff mate, looking good so far. I think England haven't lost yet but it's going to be very hard for them now.

England Falter Again - Stars XI Charge On!

Stars XI, 3rd Go (Ashley Giles)

Michael Atherton: So, Stars XI could double their advantage here. They are leading 1-0 in this Charity Shield Bowlout. Andy Caddick hit and Jimmy Anderson missed.......And now up steps Ashley Giles the former England spinner who has an Ashes winners medal. Giles to double Stars' lead!!! And he has! Stars XI are flying high here as they make it 2-0! :happy

David Lloyd: Well Stars XI now look as if they are going to win, but can Andrew Flintoff stop them in there tracks?

Michael Atherton: Well this bowlout now rests on Andrew Flintoff. If he misses and Stars hit with their next go then the Stars will level the series.

David Lloyd: Flintoff running up.......Oh no! :noway How could he miss?

b3.jpg

Michael Atherton: Well now if Craig White hits with this delivery Stars XI will level the Charity Sheild at 1-1 with 3 more matches to play!

David Lloyd: Here he goes! And yes! Stars XI have shocked England and now the match 3rd match here at Headingley which is due to start in one hour's time will be an extremely important match for both teams! Can Stars XI well and truly complete a series turn around with another win today?

b4.jpg

Stay tuned because in one hour's time we will start our journey to find out! :D

The stars did really well there. How did you manage to do the bowl-out because I would like to have a go at it!

Fantastic presentation mate, keep it up!:)

Well that was a great effort from the stars. Great effort with the bowl-out mate.

And overall, great works mate. Loving this story!

I'm liking this, except for the fact that you had to clear up whether Giles nicked it on page 5. generally, the ball must hit the bat to carry at such an angle that it goes to the slips.
