I currently have a kahuna and are getting a new bat soon but i want to see what you think first there are like 4 types of beasts right Savage, Junior savage, wild and the beast. The beast is like da one hussey uses right? So that would be the one im aiming at. However i read a review that the belta has an extensive sweet spot but beast can deliver lots of power so what do you think?

Yeh I rang up a cricket store and they said they have been popular lately and have been selling all over the country

dont go off what is selling well. just because brett lee uses a beast doesnt mean the beast you will get will be any good. it all depends on the grade of willow and the preperation. go in have a look at the bat, have a look at the grains and their width apart and the grade of willow (most salespeople should know what grade it is) then pick it up and make your decision

Well at the place im going to get it at they have a couple of reviews.

Beast
The new Beast is a product of Kookaburra?s desire to push the boundaries to ensure the latest technological developments can help to take your game to a new level. The Beast features the revolutionary new ?Kookaburra Reinforcement Matrix?. The introduction of graphite and fiberglass to the back not only increases durability and strength by minimizing ?negative flex? but increase ?Power Transfer? and hence your ability to play more powerful shots. The huge power profile which is thicker through the toe and edges guarantees an astonishing performance matched by a sensational pick up and feel. All Beast bats (except Angry) are fitted with a 12 piece ?Power Drive? handle and a superior red Players grip.

Belta
The Belta is immaculately shaped to deliver awesome power and performance to enable players to get the best from their game. With a higher than normal sweet spot designed for the player who can play of the front and back foot. The large raised profile is supported by continuous shaping throughout the apex whilst retaining a supreme pick up. The ?PKI? (Pre Knocked In) is featured on 3 models. The bats are individually pre-pared and fitted with a blue ?Kooka Toe Guard? for added protection we advise more preparation is required and play with care. All Belta bats are fitted with a 12 piece oval shaped ?Power drive? handle which enables greater control whilst driving and superior yellow Players grip

But I do like the Beast better

Go with looks. Be superficial. The Beast looks way cooler than any other bat. Get that one.

I'm agreeing with angryangy. In the end, its your skill. So take the bat you like the most :)

i wouldnt dare by a bat that will be replaced in a few weeks, eg the belta always go for new stock and buy your bats at the START of the season or youll find it outdated very quickly

A bat's a bat. You're not going to find a performance difference greater than 1% between this year's bat and last year's bat.

On the other hand, the price difference might be as much as 50%. If the prestige of having a cutting edge bat is really worth twice as much, go for it.

Well the graphite kahuna outperforms the old kahuna by a long mile in superior pickup and weight.

Thats why it would be best to get the Current Beast because they are taking all graphite bats off the market arent they? or is it just off International Players

I think it's off the market

I would choose the Kooka Belta anyway
