Who in your mind is the best ever ODI bowler that you have seen bowl. I'll start of by saying that the guy you choose doesn't have to have played that many matches, some guys might have only played 50-60 games and still been fantastic bowlers. I'm still writing my thing up but I'm interested in who you guys think is.

Discuss.

Well he played for almost 20 years so that alone is a great accomplishment.

haha , well i mean his ability to move the ball both ways and really late, his fast pace from a short run up with that whippy action. he has a few hattricks as well.

Out of todays players I think Vettori, Flintoff , Z Khan, Lee and Bracken are pretty good.

Brett Lee for mine is probably one of the best quick men to ever play ODI cricket. I didn't get to see much of Akram so I can't really say much about him but Lee has had a fantastic career.

Vettori has been good for 2-3 years now, but I wouldn't have him anywhere near being one of the best ever. He does have a fantastic RPO for today's game though

Akram, Waqar, Murali, Donald, Pollock, McGrath, Saqlain. Hard to decide.

i think i must go with murali, well he hardly gives anyhting a way and picks up atlest 2wick. taken he's record with anyone els it must be murali, and guys ple dont say no just coz u dont like the guy, lets try to talk with facts

Wasim Akran, Mcgrath, Waqar Younis and Saqlain Mushtaq. Most would say that Saqlain shouldn't be up there, but he has been a really good ODI player for as long as he played.

ohh come on!!!!!!! muralis record - matches 329 wick 505 eco-rt 3.89 (not even 4) ave - 22.74 5wick - 10 BB - 7/30 who have done better then that tell me ple i love to know:cool:

Muralithharan's RPO is under four, but he did make his debut in 1993. Since 2006 his RPO has only been under 4 once that was in 2007. If you check a lot of the bowlers records between 1990-2000 most of them will have RPO's around the 4/4.5 mark.

Also have a look at his strike-rate, 35. Compare that to other bowlers like Saqlain's whose SR is 30 and it doesn't look that impressive.

have saqlain plaid 300+ matches mate. and mind u i can remember he's RPO was 4.5 + before 2000 and after 2000 only it has gone down and down. so if a bowlers ECO rate is going down whn batters are trying to be more and more aggrasive the guy must be very spacial dont u think????

Wasim and Waqar easily. Waqar was even more lethal and had he played the amount of matches Wasim played he would have been untouchable.
