Yes you can get pcie card ;). You have nice PC. Geforce 7600GT will be really good improvement :). I would recommend 7600GT rather than X1650XT :p . Some of my friends have 6600GT and are still happy with it.

Ok, may I ask for how much time these cards will produce good graphics for games?

They will produce excellent graphics, given the fact that ati has superior image quality over any geforce 6xxx or 7xxx series card.

The x1650XT and 7600gt are pretty well matched. The x1650XT only pulls ahead comfortably when you crank up the eye candy with anti aliasing and anistropic filtering.

With Full screen Anti Aliasing x4 + Anisotropic filtering x16 enabled at 1024x768 the X1650XT was 32% faster than the 7600GT.

So really picking the 7600gt is a no brainer, as Kev would say. But its up to you mate. :thumbs

The X1950 Pro would be the best choice, offering more performance in all games, but at a extra cost. If you game above 1024x768, maybe you should consider the x1950 pro.

Thanks guys... will the 7900gs be a better option compared to 7600gt or even X1950... can my computer even support it? thanks.

Not sure about your system, but the 7900gs over ati's x1950 is again another 'no brainer'. (i love that saying)

Techspot Review X1950pro Vs 7900GS said:
I believe buying the Radeon X1950 Pro over the GeForce can easily be justified. The performance of the X1950 Pro is just that good, despite offering poor overclocking capabilities. Clocked at its default frequencies the X1950 Pro was faster than the overclocked 7900GS in X3: Reunion, Far Cry and F.E.A.R making it faster in three of the five games tested. Then when it came to games such as Prey and Quake 4, the 7900GS was faster though the performance margins were very slim.
The overclocked GeForce 7900GS configuration did its best to hang in there, and at the lowest tested resolution of 1024x768 it did quite well against the X1950 Pro. As the resolution was increased, so did the performance gap, and by the time we hit 1600x1200 the X1950 Pro was leading the pack.

Yes of course your PC can support it. 7900GS and X1950pro are much faster than 7600GT(7600GT is better and more cheaper than X1650 I think. Image quality, Ati fans like to talk about it :p). You will just have to see your PSU(power supply unit) and what are recommended for those cards. eg: 450watts and above PSU

I hate to say it but from reviews X1950pro is better in high resolution than 7900GS but since you have P4 difference won't be much. Faster 64 bit processor can see more advantage.

I think 7900GS is cheaper but X1950pro has advantage in higher resoution.

I've even updated my Drivers. I can't download the demo with 56.6 kbps, but i'll buy the game & take the risk of spending 12 thousand rupeez, I coz i dont think the game will work. However I hope in low rez, it does. Can anyone with same GFX card tell me if the demo works, or not.

i doubt it....i have a intel 945 based motherboard with a GMA3000 graphic controller...which apparently supports pixel shader 2.0 and above, and TnL ?...but it can just about load the menu for me..

i'm saving up to buy a reasonably cheap but potentially good graphic card until dx10 arrives.....there're plenty of names thrown in here...try and chose a card that's in THAT category

G'luck

I'm trying to get the cheapest cards available (on-sale items).

There is this ATI X1300 low profile edition, 128 MB PCI-E, and also ATIX700 256 MB PCI-E.

I have a AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 2.0 GHz, 512 MB RAM and 120 GB PC. Which one is a better choice?
