who do you think is the best left arm pacer in the world currently?I go for Zaheer Khan

Tbh its only a contest between Johnson and Zaheer. I went with Zaheer but i'll probably say that Mitch is the better bowler at this moment in time. But still, i'm a bit skeptical as he seems to be in a giant purple patch and has that tendency to be wayward.

I don't know what makes Bracken so hard to play. He has an over or two of swing bowling and then he reverts to stump to stump stuff of basically off spin.

Swing, accuracy, big changes in pace, cutters, yorkers, he's just a brilliant OD bowler, and in my eyes the best in the world as far as pacers are concerned, with Zaheer, Broad, Johnson, Kulasekara and Flintoff a fair distance behind.

Looks like you dont rate MJ highly. Any particular reason?

Lol. Aright. Hes been bowling like a beast at the recent times. If he can maintain this sort of bowling consistently, he will surely be the base bowler around whom Australia will rebuild their side for the future in a few years.

Zaheer's better in Tests, and Bracken's comfortably the best in ODi's.
Exactly. Mitchell Johnson close but 3rd best after them.

Nathan Bracken is so good, I can't believe he never gets picked for tests. Oh well, suits me fine, as a South African...;)

It should only really be between Khan and Johnson. Vaas is well past his prime, Thushara isn't anything special and hasn't played enough tests. Bracken is a ODI specialist and hands down the best at that, and I have no clue what is going on with Tanvir because he wasn't even in contention for a spot in the test team against Sri Lanka.

Tests:
1. Mitchell Johnson
2. Zaheer Khan
3. Chaminda Vaas
4. Mirando Thushara
5. Sohail Tanvir

ODIs:
1. Nathan Bracken
2. Zaheer Khan
3. Mitchell Johnson
4. Mirando Thushara
5. Sohail Tanvir
6. Chaminda Vaas

I have been hearing rumours that Nathan Bracken will soon convert himself to a pure spinner, are they true?

Anyway, if you ask me I'll say Zaheer and Mitchell Johnson joint no 1 in the tests, and Nathan Bracken by a mile in the ODI's.
