Blackburn appoints former Inter and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez.

Reports say that Benitez agreed to a two year deal to manage the the club. "I would like to take this club back to the top where it stood fifteen years ago. I know that in recent times that I have failed to deliver but this I have a good relationship with the owners of this club, the owners have given me a considerable amount of money to spend on the transfer window. My potential targets are Josh Mceachran and Eden Hazard.

Would Hazard really go to Blackburn ? Really ?

But still, its going to be hard getting up there. Good luck with it. What are you simulating the story with ?

Does the manager mode work?

Hmm, Hazard might go to Blackburn, at the moment he is at a french team (not lyon, i think lille) who aren't going places. Blackburn could persuade him that they could achieve more than the club he's at at the moment.

yeah the manager mode works

Breaking News

Blackburn has come to an agreement with Lille for the transfer of young star Eden Hazard for a reported offer of 4 million pounds. Hazard signed the three year contract on Monday. Chelsea's new talent Josh Mceachran surprisingly agreed to join Blackburn despite Chelsea giving him an offer to renew his contract. Blackburn manager Benitez says that he is ready for the new season and that it is most unlikely for him to be spending anymore money in this transfer window

oh oh. Not Benitez. He's not even good enough to manage Blackburn.

:lol The two years contract says it all. :p

Anyway, interesting choice with Blackburn. Can't wait to see what unfolds next and a better presentation would be nice. :)

Benitez off to a good start

Benitez keeping track of time.

Rafael Benitez proved that he is going to be soon back at the top with a well earned victory over Fulham
Blackburn outclassed Fulham throught the entire game. The game started off and it flowed nicely with no offensive play at all, both teams were just trying to keep hold of the ball. Greening penetrated his way through the right side of Blackburn's box and crossed it in to the box, Zamora rushed in to hit it on the volley but it just went wide, such an easy chance it was it could have been 1-0 to Fulham early on.

Blackburn replied immediately to attack, El Hadji Diouf ran across the box and went for a shot but instead passed it to Hazard who turned and fired straight at the post. On the 45th minute Emmerton played the ball into the box to Pedersen who tugged past a defender and hit a shot across the goal and Hazard managed to turn it into the net to give Blackburn the lead.

Fulham came back into the second half but went really close to equalising after a Bobby Zamora shot came of the cross and just as Duff hit the ball Robinson was there to collect the ball. Mame Biram Diouf caused trouble all over Fulham's defense. He was almost able to get his name on the scoresheet but was denied by an outstanding save by Schwarzer. Fulham were not able to reply as the match in Blackburn's favour.

Talking points: What does lies in the future for last's year Europa league finalist without manager Roy Hodgson? Is Rafael Benitez really back or was it luck?

Newcastle topple Blackburn

2eci3hf.jpg

Andy Carroll celebrates opener.
Newcastle completely outplayed Blackburn. Rafael Benitez first game at home was a memory to forget, Alan Pardew's side showed that they are not to be underestimated. Newcastle allowed the play to flow as if I was watching Chelsea against Wigan. Blackburn failed to get into game as Newcastle showed them who is boss.

David Dunn hit a free kick just over the post early on and Blackburn continued attacking with Eden Hazard wasting a golden opportunity, he decided to place the shot instead of whacking it home but his shot was saved easily by Harper, Blackburn continued there attack with a David Dunn free kick pushed over and Pedersen header against the post.

Newcastle then showed them who is really the bigger team. Simpson was layed off from a free kick and he hit straight towards goal, Robinson managed to turn it onto the post. Joey Barton followed up on the shot but Robinson managed to get the ball of his feet before he shot. Carrol played Ben Arfa into the box and he cut in between Nelsen and Samba and fired a shot but he hit the post. Newcastle changed the entire game around and continued into half time.

Blackburn would have been leading early on after the break if Hazard would have timed his diving header as he missed a cross from Pedersen that flew straight through Newcastle's box leaving an open bars for Hazard but it went behind him, but Dunn was there to peg it in but Campell was there to block the shot.

Newcastle was literally given the lead as Dunn made a back pass to Samba and Andy Carroll intercepted it and hit it ahead of the defender, Harper seeing this rushed off his line but Carroll was too smart he hit the ball wide of the keeper and tapped it in.

Ten minutes later Joey Barton darted down the wing in a counter attack and crossed it in and it found Ameobi who headed it onto the crossbar and into goal it went. Newcastle took firm control of the game and took home all three points in stunning style.
