Bring back Mohammad Sami

Well with the horrible fitness of Shoaib they have Gul for that rip roaring guy.
But with him chosing to be more a line and length bowler (Munaf mold, but better) Sami may get a sneak in.

Sami has been selected for the test matches :)
Well, he has earned it by doing it good in domestic ;)
Congrats! Let's hope he can answer his critics now...

hmmm, lets see how he does in the tests. i hope that he can improve his form in tests he deserves it.

man im so relieved
i thought they would stick with medium pace trundlers like rao and co

heres hoping they dont go by a 2 spin bowling attack of kaneria and rehman

3 pacers shoaib, sami and gul and 1 spinner in kaneria

So USY your wish has come true.
Where r u giving us party dude????

Well, if Sami proves his critics wrong (which I really hope he does) then me and usy bhai will have a joint party :)

Well with the horrible fitness of Shoaib they have Gul for that rip roaring guy.
But with him chosing to be more a line and length bowler (Munaf mold, but better)

Umar Gul was about 130kph prior to his return to international cricket earlier this year. He bowled quicker in the World T20 simply because he had less overs to bowl (4 per game) and the pitches in South Africa are extremely friendly to fast bowling. Furthermore, the speed guns in South Africa are renouned for giving high readings.

Do not compare bowlers to Munaf. Munaf Patel had poor fitness which was identified by Greg Chappell as soon as he saw Munaf in 2005. He noted that a 16 year old Shaun Tait (who Chappell obviously worked with when Tait was 16) had better fitness to bowl fast for long periods than Munaf. Add to this that Munaf has had back injuries, which are disasterous to the progress of pace bowling and that Munaf is a very on/off bowler and you have his unique situation.

Look at Munaf's first Test match, towards the end of days, his pace was down to 125kph. This was because his body simply could not recover from his spells which meant that each was slower than the last. Munaf Patel has made a choice to operate at around the 135kph region and that is the right choice for his body. The fact that he occasionally bowls slower is because he is having 'an off day' and cannot get his body to function at above the 125kph region consistantly. You must realise that above the 135kph region, the action is usually adequate and it comes down to the strength of the core and the fitness to consistantly run in.

Whenever Munaf bowls at 125kph, imagine it is 115kph because that is what it would be if Munaf was not as strong as he is to compromise when he cannot run in properly.

I think Mohammad Sami is coming into the Test Side instead of Asif.

This is what is happening:
OUT:
Nazir
Rao
Afridi
Asif
IN:
Faisal Iqbal
Mohammad Sami
Danish Kaneria

It's always funny that Faisal Iqbal get's so many chances and everytime people think okay you got one more chance prove us wrong, but it never happens... :)

scion_sid - lol

ivanvdm15 - I'll invite you first you have to start respecting other teams fans, and not just say that they "suck".

anakwalajinn - yes.

THE BARMY ARMY - Asif, Sami, Akhtar, Gul, Kaneria! great! :(

manee - i agree.

Poor guy Nazir did not got a chance. He adds excitement in dull Pakistan batting.

Dont feel too excited about sami.He is not in the top 10 bowlers in the domestic cricket going on in Pakistan. He was picked just becoz of one performance where he took 8 wickets. And look at his record against india. Its not impressive. They are missing Asif.
