Bug with high scores?

Apologies if this bug is a well known bug:-

Anyway, there I was with Craig White on 256 not out from 64 balls...which is 4 a ball strangely enough. 100 from 30 balls, 200 from 54 balls. I'm romping along with Yuvraj at the other end on 150 odd, and the total at 750 odd, when all of a sudden Hampshire decide they've had enough and mooo! well crash Cricket 2004 to the desktop.

So I reload, smack another 6 and it crashes again...so I reload smack another 6 and it crashes again...so I reload smack a 4 then a 6...then it's fine for a bit, then it crashes again.

Is there any problem with huge partnerships, huge scores, or huge run-rates (although the run-rate was only 10 and over...because I'd took my time at 7 an over for about 350 runs) ;)

In the end I declared at 750 odd, and won by an autoplayed innings. :)

BTW:- This was medium difficulty, so all 'fast rate scoring' record possibilities are null and void.

I think its a bug, cuz it happened to me also. I was batting with Lara on 301, trying to get to 400 and then it crashes, and it repeatedly crash at about 5 minutes intervals since then. The only get around I know is to save your after each over, so when it crashes, you can resume where you left off. I hope somebody creates a patch for it, cuz its really annoying.

But I haven't used any patches or visual upgrades nor nowt. Surely my install is as clean as it can get. Besides which I can't understand why it'd let me score 750 runs, if I had a bad install.

Stranger things have happened I guess.

yer when i got 829 in normal mode it crashed at 5 min intervals

i got fed up and quit cos i just couldnt b bothered getting bak in2 it all the time

yep.. it is a well known bug... n sumthins wrong wit the record thingy too . i hit a opening partnership or 726 with smith on 422 ang gibbs on 248 and it kept on crashing i had to save after evry over which i did n got got fed up with i declared at 730/0 but the hall of fame showed my 1st wicket partnership to be 0f 256 (which i had hit earlier) n my batting record shows dat s warne hit 422
