Canada is really looking forward to a test statue I really have to move their If I have any chance of being playing in a international team.
Canada would have been playing Test cricket for 50 years by now if they hasn't turned down Test status back in the 50s.

i play for the mississauga ramblers which is DOMESTIC cricket to canadian cricket and we have met with the president of canada (BEN) told us that well Canada right now has no pitches real pitches...and no money to make one so thats why there FUNDRASING to make a staidum here in canada...SO international cricket 1 day can be here so it will be good to see

If I am not wrong International cricket was already played in Canada.
Pakistan vs India and many more matches.

There are fields, theres one near the pearson airport. but theres no stands, same near my house but there are no stands.

I think that was a baseball stadium..

there are many grounds in canada... King city for example has 5 grounds... 3 or 4 of them with turf wickets... then theres ajax and toronto cricket club which are private clubs but both haf turf as well and can host international cricket

Toronto cricket club held hte india pakistan shahara matches in the lates 90's.. and ajax toronto and king city all held canada vs westindies a team matches a few years ago....

sunny broke recently held the canada brumuda icc match... on turf..... but only because king wasnt *availalbe*....

there is even 1 ground in a guys backyard near to guelph.... amazing ground.. 5 turf tracks aswelll

basicly canada has the facility... and canda has money... but there is no seriousness in canada to make cricket possible, and taake it to the next level

There's the ground at the Toronto CSCC, which is considered a full international ground by the ICC, but the Canadian Cricket Association won't pay to use it.

Trinide Americas cup under 19 is being held in Canada right.
I am going to practice selection in 10 days or so,If I get picked You might see me playing for America in the Americas cup under 19.are you playing for canada under 19?

Canada are undoubtedly the best team in the americas.Hopefully we'll get to see them at the 2007 wc close to home.Who knows maybe even host a match.I'd like to see them playing against the West Indies islands like Jamaca first before considering them for test or even one day status. But want to see them in 2007 definately.

canada isnt the best.... scotland has a far stronger team....all their players have played county cricket... and the best of them have scored runs and taken wickets at the county level..... scotlands level is truly higher than canadas.....

and about sunnybrooke....

the PARK is a nice place.... the grounds are rough and never cut low enough becuase of park standards... and the pitch is HORRIBLE... its astro-turf...( artifical turf)
sunnybrooke has the worst wicket as it is... it could never be used for international cricket....

the A ground does have a turf track.... which wasnt maintained for over 5 years.. then just put to use last year for the canada vs bermuda match.....

Canada have beaten Papua New Guinea today to secure a place in the 2007 World Cup, and gain ODI status for 4 years from the 1st of January 2006.
