Checklist for MattW's Visit to BigAnt's Office

IMO, AI doesn't really matter if their is multiplayer mode... Especially Online multiplayer mode...
RLL series has a decent online mode and I bet C14 won't be any different...
I think gameplay for sports games should be designed solely judging online play... I don't want to spend all my time playing with a machine you know! :)

Would be fun to get a decent AI in a cricket game for once. You can't be online all the time, especially for playing Tests or 50 over odis, and it would be fun to get a good game when you do play offline :yes

MattW!C'mon reply to this thread! We are waiting for you.Btw as someone said try to record the gameplay video in game without Ross's knowledge :D :spy

But many dont want to be connected to Internet for hours just to play a test game. and most don't have friends like you to play with you for hours. (Forever Alone)

Stats I read on forums is that offline play for sports games makes up majority of gamers time.

I.e. onlines users are a tiny %

Therefore AI is of paramount importance - e.g. what is use of career mode that everyone has been craving for if AI is crap?

I bet I am not alone to say if my created character has a batting average of 150, bowling of 5 and almost never drops a catch and this is on the hardest difficulty then bigant will fail and no one wants that.

And for a game/sport like cricket, where the truest form of the game (Tests) can stretch for days, AI is even more important. Even for folks who play online extensively, you cannot realistically hope to play Tests online. I played AC09 online quite a bit but most of them were either 10 overs a side or T20s. Even T20s took too long to play in the game!

Multiplayer is all well and good, and we do want a good multiplayer online gameplay, but it shouldn't be a replacement for a decent AI.

We haven't worked out the details yet, but I certainly won't be taking footage/recording other than what I agree with Ross.

By biggest area of interest will be in the bowling controls - I've been waiting for a cricket game to finally make bowling interesting, so I'm really keen to find out how they've executed there.

After that, I'll probably try and finish a 10/20 over match, as I'd much rather finish a whole match in one mode than to be in and out of tests/ODIs - though I'd try and take a look at that and a bit of the career mode gameplay (with my own player hopefully).

Otherwise this post is fairly on the mark.

Boring... do this instead:

1) Ask for cake
2) If no cake shows, upturn nearest desk and storm off
3) If cake shows, demand someone slice it for you because you're afraid of knives whilst using the phrase "...because I'm MATT F'N DOUBLE YA"
4) Eat cake
5) Apparently they make some cricket sports game, so just take a photo of it on your camera phone and high five the hot receptionist on your way out

Addendum: Wear Sunglasses the entire time. Attire onself in an Ed Hardy T-Shirt and leather pants. Style always.

I suppose it depends how long you get, but I would probably prefer 20 overs of test cricket than finishing a 10 over match. I think it'll be hard to judge the AI in a 10 over match since they don't even exist in real life, whereas if the AI can fool you into thinking it's real for 20 overs of test cricket, we're onto a winner.

And for that bowling yes, I agree. I'm loving the new batting controls too and you will no-doubt test them out, but even with shitty controls batting could still be fun in previous games but bowling not so much.

What if there is promise of cake but it turns out to be a lie :spy
