Codemasters Confirm Patch

OMG, cant believe they are actually looking into the issues.

Now I have a word of advice for them GAME TESTING you freaks.

Test it on a community shut as *cough cough* here, before you release a patch and then get smashed because it is crap.

Ill have my fingers crossed anyway.

Doubt they'd make us pay for it. That'd just be rubbing more salt into the wounds.

I've already taken my copy on 360 back. Not being able to play tests with real player names and the ease of the gameplay (with the exception of the ridiculous catching mechanics) frustrated the hell outta me.

I'm not going to buy BLIC 07 until the patch is released and somebody says it makes the game is better with the main problems rectified.

Do you think they could do that then? Release it as a beta, for us to test properly? Or should the question be not could, but would?

I was thinking only the other day, that even if it's just a minor patch, showing any kind of effort to at least improve and appease the customers could go a long way to helping Codies grab a large wedge of the market, at least for the next game they bring out.

Names? No. They can't because they don't have the rights.

Names can be done via the new player editor here, that's not a problem and Rubbergenius has admitted the fake names can be edited via a 3rd party editor he has no problem with that.

The AI definitly needs sorting out including the bowlers opening with spinners... and I still could'nt find the fall of wickets in the scorecard/bowling figures.

Maybe when all this is sorted out I may re-purchase until then - SOLD!!!

I got my copy of BLIC and I must say codies over hype the game .... they run a good marketing campaign but unfortunately the game just don?t deserve that much attention. All that open days ? TV, magazines adds ? they spent all that money , in the end this game is not much different than BLIC05 ?. In a way its one step backward.

The next gen graphics are much better then EA Cricket 07 but at the other hand the graphics couldn?t have been improved. Some characters don?t even resemble to the real players.

Batting , bowling , fielding just don?t give satisfaction. It seems codies spent months to promote game, to organize open days in between they forgot they have one important thing to do ? create a cricket game.

Batting in EA cricket 07 I feel I have more control on the batsman I can choose back foot , front foot. The shoot selection is in the hands of the user. Batting in BLIC 07 is more arcade.

It seems this game is for beginners, for kids, who just want to hit 6 on every ball. It is not a simulation.

I don?t know how much a patch will improve the game ?. If you couldn?t make it better in 2 years how can you fix all these issues in few weeks with some patches ??

If some how we can add EA Cricket AI and gameplay to BLIC then this game definitely worth playing. For the time being there is no other Cricket game and EA is not coming with any new cricket game at least for a year so gamers just toggle yourself between Cricket 07 and BLIC 2007

A 2 out of 5 :onpc

*I came to that conclusion as soon as I read "Add EA Cricket AI"
