Last Wicket: Ainsworth c. Heath b. Otto 160 (FOW: 305/4)

47.6 W Otto to Ainsworth
A simply stunning catch by Heath. Diving low to his right, the ball fizzed through the air and into his grasp.

Better late than never I suppose.

49.2 W Otto to Jepson
That's the benefit of bowling straight, if the batsman misses, you hit!

Otto trying to steal some respectable figures.

49.5 6 Otto to Archibald
Oh my word, Archibald has really got hold of that one!
49.4 4 Otto to Archibald
Lovely shot, Archibald's timing was like a Swiss watch.
49.3 4 Otto to Archibald
Driven off the front foot through mid off.

Maybe not.

End of Over 50: 333-5, runrate=6.66
Otto 10-1-64-3
Archibald* 15 (4 balls)
Pickford 7 (4 balls)

Not hugely hopeful.

2 destructive opening bowlers, interesting tactics. I guess they'll either run through my top order, or get smashed all over the park, here's hoping for the latter.

3.4 W Lisbie to Heath
And that's out! Absolutley no foot movement from Heath as he tries to cut a short wide ball but only succeeds in cannoning the ball into his stumps. Lisbie is delighted!

Not disappointed at all really, Heath often scores very slowly against good bowlers, having Gilroy in is probably a good thing....as long as he stays in!

End of Over 4: 20-1, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=6.83 (333-5)
Lisbie 2-0-11-1
Gilroy* 1 (1 balls)
Mason 7 (10 balls)

The Mason-Gilroy and Stiles-whichever isn't out are the 2 key partnerships.

5.3 W Lisbie to Mason
Gone! Mason can't believe he has been given, and to make matters worse it appears Lisbie is telling Mason he saw the edge.

Not good. 2 best bats in now, if anyone's going to win me the game, it's these 2.

End of Over 6: 40-2, runrate=6.67, reqrunrate=6.68 (333-5)
Lisbie 3-0-24-2
Stiles* 3 (3 balls)
Gilroy 16 (8 balls)

Come on lads...

End of Over 10: 69-2, runrate=6.90, reqrunrate=6.63 (333-5)
Lisbie 5-0-32-2
Stiles* 11 (16 balls)
Gilroy 31 (19 balls)

Not bad at all at the 10 over mark.

End of Over 15: 105-2, runrate=7.00, reqrunrate=6.54 (333-5)
Pickford 1-0-7-0
Stiles* 31 (35 balls)
Gilroy 46 (30 balls)

15 overs gone, still going fine. Partnership worth 69*.

16.1 4 Pickford to Gilroy
Full delivery, cut to deep backward point, Ainsworth diving to stop the ball, in the process touches the rope.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

32 balls, cracking knock. He got a hundred in my last match against Briggsey, lets hope he gets another and some support here.

End of Over 20: 132-2, runrate=6.60, reqrunrate=6.73 (333-5)
Storer 5-0-29-0
Gilroy* 58 (39 balls)
Stiles 45 (56 balls)

20 overs.

End of Over 25: 149-2, runrate=5.96, reqrunrate=7.40 (333-5)
Pickford 6-0-31-0
Stiles* 54 (72 balls)
Gilroy 65 (53 balls)

Very quiet 5 overs, some serious acceleration needed.

26.6 2 Pickford to Stiles
A risky two, but they make it.
26.5 4 Pickford to Stiles
Slower delivery, but he picks it and gets it away through third man.
26.4 . Pickford to Stiles
Pushed back to the bowler.
26.3 2 Pickford to Stiles
Driven to the boundary for a comfortable two.
26.2 . Pickford to Stiles
Just wide of off, stayed low, went for the shot, beats the bat.
26.1 4 Pickford to Stiles
Played the ball with the spin and was always in control of that one.

Thats a bit more like it.

Damn it, I've got no friendly this week
Any place in the world who's friendlies start after the Windies, and if there is any team from here over there, challenge me please.

Would you care to predict a result for me vs Briggsey, Zorax? I'd be interested to see who you think is on top.

Briggs. Gilroy will make 125 and get out, Stiles no more than 70. You collaps in the final ten, lose by about 80 runs.

31.1 6 Storer to Gilroy
Up, up and away. Superman couldn't catch that.

End of Over 31: 196-2, runrate=6.32, reqrunrate=7.26 (333-5)
Pickford 9-0-61-0
Gilroy* 82 (66 balls)
Stiles 84 (95 balls)

Last Wicket: Mason lbw b. Lisbie 8 (FOW: 36/2)

30.6 2 Pickford to Stiles
Drifting down leg and the batsman just turns this down to fine leg for a couple.
30.5 . Pickford to Stiles
A very full, straight, low full toss on the legs which is clipped away strongly but straight to mid wicket. The batsman missed out there.
30.4 3 Pickford to Gilroy
He gets the one, the two, and oh just gets the three as Storer has a go at the wickets and narrowly misses.
30.3 4 Pickford to Gilroy
Pickford drops that one just a little too short and Gilroy pulls it through mid wicket for four.
30.2 4 Pickford to Gilroy
Full length ball swinging into the leg stump, Gilroy flicks it away through mid-wicket, ball races away to the rope.
30.1 . Pickford to Gilroy
Bit of lift, on the front foot, defends to the off side.

End of Over 30: 183-2, runrate=6.10, reqrunrate=7.55 (333-5)
Burdett 5-0-23-0
Gilroy* 71 (62 balls)
Stiles 82 (93 balls)

Last Wicket: Mason lbw b. Lisbie 8 (FOW: 36/2)

29.6 . Burdett to Stiles
Now that's tight bowling. Burdett isn't giving Stiles much to work with.
29.5 6 Burdett to Stiles
Burdett watches on helpless as that ball is smacked into next week...six runs.

They've woken up, at last.

Everton's pitch was impossible to play! He only posted 200 and I couldn't pass 100. 2nd game in a row where the Dusty pitch has led to impossible batting

End of Over 32: 212-2, runrate=6.63, reqrunrate=6.78 (333-5)
Storer 6-0-45-0
Stiles* 93 (99 balls)
Gilroy 89 (68 balls)

Last Wicket: Mason lbw b. Lisbie 8 (FOW: 36/2)

Required Run Rate the right side of 7 again.

33.5 1 Storer to Stiles
Driven wide of cover and they trot through for a gentle single.
And that's a century for Stiles! Well played indeed Sir!

Funny looking 70...

34.4 6 Burdett to Gilroy
Unbelievable shot! Absolutely massive! Gilroy charges down the track to a fullish ball outside off stump, turns it into a half volley, smashes it a country mile over long off, up into the stand.
And that's a century for Gilroy! Well played indeed Sir!

In style :)

End of Over 35: 237-2, runrate=6.77, reqrunrate=6.47 (333-5)
Burdett 6-0-38-0
Stiles* 103 (109 balls)
Gilroy 104 (76 balls)

35 over update. Looking alright at the moment...

He's had to bowl too.

True, but he has got Superb Stamina.

When did that happen?
Still unlikely you'll make it. Depends on how the 41st and 42nd over turn out really.
