End of Over 35: 259-3, runrate=7.40
Hawkins 6-0-43-0
Ghandi* 63 (64 balls)
Cornes 152 (109 balls)

nice, 150 came off only 107 balls

he is set to defensive aswell

My team made 378 and got them out on 51...Lucas again in the act making 127 and Harun taking 7 wickets...

My bowlers have done pretty well. Hignett was uneconomical, he's never really fired for me. I might have to get a new pace bowler :(
But they were all out for 109, Ifill and Bishop taking 5 wickets each for their second ever 5-fors. Wood was economical at 2 an over, Long managed 2.8, but Bishop was 5/24 off 9 overs, and Ifill 5/16 off 9 overs, a damn good performance for a spinner on a green pitch!!
Expecting some fireworks in the batting order today.

batted first, made 359-6

cocked up on my teams selectin though, played cleaver instead of cox, and then bowled him instead of (dont know who yet, but still he is my 6th best bowler)

a si typed this, cleaver just struck

52-1

W Lester to Roberton
Bowled him Lester really bowled a beauty.. oh no Lester has missed the high five and Karel has been slapped in the face.

1.6 W Crouch to Barry
That was a textbook shot by Barry... sadly the textbook in question was 'Cricket for Beginners'... so that's OUT!
1.5 W Crouch to Geel
That's gone! Geel launched himself at it, but only succeeded in picking out the fielder in the deep.
1.4 . Crouch to Geel
Good length ball just outside off stump, steers it away straight to backward point.
1.3 . Crouch to Geel
Bit of lift, over the stumps, bat withdrawn.
1.2 W Crouch to Standing
Tried to smash that through the cover area, but Rudi was perfectly positioned and takes the catch at chest height.
1.1 W Crouch to Green
Forward, the ball beats the bat, and middle and leg stump are out of the ground.

End of Over 2: 4-4, runrate=2.00
Crouch 1-1-0-4
Midson* 0 (6 balls)
Edwards 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Barry b. Crouch 0 (FOW: 4/4)

And then he gets his fifer :)
3.1 W Crouch to Midson
Midson has come right up the pitch to that one and missed completely, an easy stumping for Rheams!

5 wickets in 7 balls.
Legend :)

He has 7 now!!

5.5 W Crouch to Allsopp
Crouch, Rheams and Gallagher appeal till their faces go purple! Slowly but surely, the finger goes up.
5.6 W Crouch to Tzaneen
Got him! Driven strongly down the ground by Tzaneen, but plucked from the air by Crouch as he followed through after his delivery stride. Wonderful reflexes!

End of Over 6: 26-7, runrate=4.33
Crouch 3-1-12-7
Edwards* 10 (5 balls)
Modise 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Tzaneen c & b. Crouch 0 (FOW: 26/7)
:D:D:D

Crouch picks up his 8th!! :D

7.1 W Crouch to Modise
Superb catch behind by Rheams

Rudi spoils Crouch's attempts at 10 in an innings :(
8.2 W Rudi to Thabang
Excellent keeping there from Rheams! Really sharp work!
End of Over 9: 29-10, runrate=3.22
Rudi 4-1-17-2
Bambatha* 3 (3 balls)
Missed out a wicket (:D):
6.4 W Rudi to Edwards
He plays all around a straight one and is plumb in front.
Crouch 8/12, Rudi 2/17. Wow.

End of Over 3: 13-0, runrate=4.33, reqrunrate=0.36 (29-10)
Thabang 2-0-7-0
Crouch* 8 (9 balls)
Rudi 4 (9 balls)
10 bucks says they get this done by the 7th over...

4.4 6 Thabang to Crouch
That ball went so high it could have got an air hostess down with it, super shot that, six runs to Crouch.
5.1 4 Bambatha to Rudi
Charges the delivery, unleashes a square drive, ball goes straight through Allsopp at deep backward point.
And that's the end of the match. TT Lions won by 10 wickets.
Sturm Freistadt 29-10
TT Lions 31-0

I'm bored of boasting bout Crouchy. What's up with your games?

i got them all out for 217, not bad since i was "resting" a proficient spinner (well, i forgot to bowl him) dusty pitch aswell

Welcome to Cricketers National Ground for the match between Borncricketers XI and TT Lions.

We can tell you that Borncricketers XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

End of Over 4: 6-0, runrate=1.50
Alshaun 2-1-1-0
Cox* 2 (15 balls)
Whing 4 (9 balls)

5.6 W Alshaun to Cox

End of Over 15: 39-2, runrate=2.60
Ali 1-1-0-1
Rudi* 17 (23 balls)
Gallagher 0 (5 balls)

We're entering a very interesting climax to the game between me and Pak_Cricketer.

End of Over 42: 220-2, runrate=5.24, reqrunrate=10.75 (305-4) Mcdonald 9-0-36-1
Shahbaz* 111 (123 balls)
Lister 2 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Shorey b. Mcdonald 103 (FOW: 212/2)

My bowlers are set to defensive, as I knew I'd be having a big total and his batsmen are dangerous. So far, it's working. Hopefully they don't leak runs in the last few overs.

*****************************************************
Update: Only 23 runs in the last 4 overs. Brilliant. I'm a great manager!

End of Over 46: 243-2, runrate=5.28, reqrunrate=15.75 (305-4)
Barker 8-0-40-1
Lister* 15 (15 balls)
Shahbaz 120 (134 balls)

Last Wicket: Shorey b. Mcdonald 103 (FOW: 212/2)

The game's as good as won, I believe.

I slaughtered Sid :(

Code:
Challengers XI	Sid's Bashers
Top Order:	mediocre	woeful
Middle Order:	feeble	woeful
Lower Order:	woeful	worthless
Seam Bowling:	feeble	woeful
Spin Bowling:	mediocre	woeful
Fielding:	woeful	woeful

As of late, I've been noticing that Hignett hasn't been very good as an opening bowler (economy of nearly 6) which is strange with his fairly decent stats. So as an experiment I put him as defensive and 5th bowler. It worked, he took 3/1 :p, 5 overs, 4 maidens and 3 wickets :D Admittedly he was bowling at Sids lower order but still...

All the bowlers did well (bowled sid for 92) so I've put their stats here:
Code:
Wood	5	2	16	1	0	0
Long	10	0	30	0	1	2
Bishop	8.3	2	13	4	0	0
Ifill	8	3	17	2	0	0
Hignett	5	4	1	3	0	0

Sadly Sids bowling wasn't up to scratch, and it became another race between Lungile and Kekeletso, which Lungile won with 57 off 42, unusual since he is the more defensive of the two.

Anyway, I should stop boasting about this game. Well played Sid, at least the home crowd got something to see :p
Look forward to your revenge in next game.

Ive not been having time lately to sort my team, give a rest to my players or even watch an over of the games, hence my poor team performance,so there's no change of any revenges Miles, good game though, thanks for putting up the result here so that I could give it a quick look.
