1 and then a 3. Looks better at 57 needed off 45, but still difficult. My prediction for a collapse stands. Stone, Purse, Hemming, Otto to come. I don't know there skills, but having finished them off quickly with my attack, Briggs should wipe through soon.
A single, then:
42.5 W Lisbie to Muir
Got'im! That one reared up nastily and Muir could only fend it off to the keeper.
What did I say?
56 off 42 needed, 4 in hand.

55 off 40 needed now.
Good game Freddie. I should beat Briggs after my major changes in the offseason. Here is hoping so.

53 off the final 6.

Good game Fred, a bit too tighter than I would have liked but a win none the less and one step closer to promotion now! My bowling isnt as strong now with the sales of Forbes and Oneil but come next season Storer and Aminuddin should be at the quality mark bowling wise and Ill have a formidable team once again! I look forward to playing you soon Zorax, it will be a good game but unless I post a large score I think your batting line up may just be too strong for my bowlers, but we shall see.

Looking at the ratings, I'm a bit disappointed I lost. Both of Briggsey's bowling stats are 1 level higher, my Upper and middle order are 1 level higher than his. Equally matched, apparently.

Reporter's Summary
Briggs Bullets Old Wulfs
Top Order: competent respectable
Middle Order: mediocre competent
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: competent mediocre
Spin Bowling: mediocre feeble
Fielding: feeble feeble

My bowling pwz both of yours. Hit a double Proficient this Friday on GFI. But my batting was Competent-Mediocre, even with Crouch and Rudi opening!
That should point out my weak spot quite easily.

Everton's pitch was impossible to play! He only posted 200 and I couldn't pass 100. 2nd game in a row where the Dusty pitch has led to impossible batting

not impossible, cornes managed it!

Indeed. We're quite opposite as teams, my batting is let down by weak bowling, you're the other way round.

I'm looking to buy/pull 2 17 YO Fast/Fast Medium bowlers at the start of next season. If I get Comps/Respectables my bowling attack at the end of the season will be:

2 new bowlers - High Prof/Strong
Stiles - (who I've been reliably informed will be a Quality bowler by the end of the year, on 2 bowling nets) Quality
Stone - Should be another Quality, I think
Otto - Proficient

From there it'll be a case of keep training the two new ones (who I want to be openers, hence F/FM - Stiles and Otto both M, Stone spinner) who should be looking at Quality or Remarkable when they turn 20, then starting to replace people like Heath and Otto.

Thats the plan, anyway.

I'm getting another Spin trainee, and a keeper-batsman trainee. And will buy a good destructive opener and a good fast-bowling allrounder...

Another Spin trainee on top of Tuckett? What pitch are you planning to play on?
Green. Spin works wonders for me on Green. And the Fast-bowling allrounder is primarily for H&F pitches. Should be a good balance.

Killer Match today!

I made 390/5! And then I got the opposition out for 31!!!

Fairly disappointing but great in some respects match for me. Wood and Kekeletso hit career best centuries (Kekeletso's first) to take us to 342/8, and we're playing a pretty bad team. They are doing worryingly well but still not well enough.

End of Over 17: 97-3, runrate=5.71, reqrunrate=7.45 (342-8)
Long 4-0-33-0
Skalding* 1 (4 balls)
Mann 46 (48 balls)
Last Wicket: Walton c. Osmond b. Ifill 15 (FOW: 90/3)

Wood got an early one, Ifill gaining the other two.

They should definitely be scoring slower, the pitch is supposed to be uneven but the display error makes it a flat pitch. Is it really a flat pitch?

I'm bowling first AGAIN! I wanted to bat (again) and set my team on GFI. But for the 4th time in a row I'm bowling first :(
Newbie team too.
End of Over 5: 9-2, runrate=1.80
Rudi 3-0-5-1
Brydon* 5 (12 balls)
Kerr 2 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Bolan Run Out 0 (FOW: 3/2)

End of Over 12: 20-10, runrate=1.67
Woah.
Crouch 5-2-6-5
Rudi 5-0-9-2
Andrews 1-0-3-1
2 runouts
Woah

1.1 W Butler to Rudi
He didn't get anything on that one, and is struck cleanly on the pad. The umpire has no hesitation in giving him out LBW.
:p

1.5 W Butler to Dennis
Can someone call Dennis an ambulance! He's going to be a broken man after that. Gone.

2.3 W Lonergan to Butcher
Plumb! Finger is raised. Butcher walks dejectedly back to the pavilion. He was completely outwitted by that delivery.

Has Twenty20 come early? :p
Only 35 runs in this match so far, and 13 wickets have fallen!!

And that's the end of the match. TT Lions won by 7 wickets.
Red Rock Lawn Club 20-10
TT Lions 21-3
41 runs for 13 wickets in 17 overs. Must have been a terrible pitch.

nice easy win for me today

made 356/3, got them out for 81

nice ratings today of

Top Order: respectable
Middle Order: competent
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: competent
Spin Bowling: superb

TT Lions
Top Order: respectable
Middle Order: feeble
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: proficient
Spin Bowling: respectable
Fielding: mediocre
MOTM was Crouch. Highest score on either side was 10 , made by Crouch and his number 4 bat.
Only 2 boundaries in the entire match - Crouch and Butcher.
