Play-off for me today. Should win easily

We can tell you that Rotherham CC won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this sunny day.

I wanted to bat first, but not that bothered

End of Over 16: 49-0, runrate=3.06
Slaytor 3-2-2-0
Clarke* 19 (46 balls)
Read 27 (50 balls)

Nice and economical, but no wicket which is a little disappointing. Slaytor showing his class with the ball there with 3-2-2-0

End of Over 19: 86-4, runrate=4.53
Motson 5-0-19-1
Oakley* 6 (22 balls)
Mampe 38 (36 balls)

bad position, but i have a respectbale and 2 competent bats left, its an uneven pitch, so im notout of it (yet!)

Cruising at the half way point!

End of Over 25: 210-0, runrate=8.40
Thorne 6-0-49-0
Sohail* 81 (71 balls)
Ainsworth 121 (80 balls)
Ainsworth century in only 69 balls
20.5 4 Thorne to Ainsworth
Battered over the boundary. Four runs.
And that's a century for Ainsworth! Well played indeed Sir!

you should easily get 400, i think ive had 400 once, not sure

End of Over 27: 130-4, runrate=4.81
Odonague 4-0-17-0
Mampe* 62 (60 balls)
Oakley 23 (46 balls)

oakley has calmed his attacking nature to make a patient 23, good captains innings so far, mampe finally proving his worth as an attacking force with the abt

I think ive had 400 a couple of times, if I remember correctly the most recent 400+ score was against The Spin ;)

Another century this one from 86 balls!
29.1 4 Tarr to Sohail
It's a quick outfield today. Even if Bates was on wheels he wouldn't catch that. Great timing from Sohail.
And that's a century for Sohail! Well played indeed Sir!

18.6 W Nedd to Clarke
That's beaten him all ends up and takes out middle and off

There's the breakthrough!

End of Over 20: 61-1, runrate=3.05
Slaytor 5-3-5-0
Jenny* 0 (0 balls)
Read 28 (60 balls)

Last Wicket: Clarke b. Nedd 30 (FOW: 61/1)

Looking good at this stage

23.3 W Harding to Read
That was in the air for a long time, Chuguel got under it, nearly dropped it and finally cradled it at the fourth attempt. Harding's heart was in his mouth there.
Harding took a wicket?! Thats a rare occurance

24.2 W Nedd to Jenny
The bowler and the crowd go wild, while Jenny hangs his head in shame as the umpire raises his finger to a clear LBW.

26.1 W Nedd to Shanks
A massive edge and it's caught behind by Pead!
Another 2 for Nedd, 72/4 looking very good

33.6 W Slaytor to Ridge
Chuguel dives spectacularly to his left, catching the ball with one hand. Unbelievable! That one should make 'Catch of the Month'.
33.5 W Slaytor to Prudie
Flicked off the pads straight to the man at mid wicket. Soft dismissal that.
33.4 . Slaytor to Prudie
Stretches well forward to a fullish ball outside off stump, playing with the front pad leading.
33.3 . Slaytor to Prudie
Fullish ball outside off stump, leans well forward, shouldering arms through to Pead.
33.2 W Slaytor to Ashmore
Absolutely plumb! By the time the bowler looked back to the umpire, the finger was already up.
33.1 1 Slaytor to Vusi
Mistimed pull shot screws out to the on side for a slightly fortunate single.

I said slaytor was very good! 85-7 now and they should be dismissed for under 100

It was a long time ago, back in March on a H&F pitch at the Briggs Dome.

Code:
First Innings of: Briggs Bullets
Name Runs Balls 4s 6s
Ainsworth b. Riaan 247 160 26 3
Ali (*) c. Searle b. Levy 135 134 9 2
Hildred not out 12 9 1 0

Total (50.0 overs, 2 wickets) 410

I was then bowled out for 144 (Browne took 4-29). I can't say I am surprised, it was one of my very first games when my team were absolutely awful.

Back to my match...

39.2 W Slaytor to Jackson
Edged and out, no question of doubt there. Jackson heads back to the pavilion.

Slaytor has 4 now and they are 96/8. Should get to 100 now, but not much more. Slaytor (4/13 (10)) and Nedd (3/17 (10)) have bowled wonderfully

41.4 W Harding to Gouws
Good length ball jags back a bit and he's played on. Great bowling!
41.3 . Harding to Gouws
Tight, good length ball on off stump. The batsman shuffles forward and pushes it in close on the off side in defence.
41.2 . Harding to Gouws
A play and a miss. Gouws rehearses a forward defensive a few times.
41.1 W Harding to Vusi
Once he's made his way back to the pavilion maybe Vusi's team mates can remind him that it is best to use your bat against balls homing in on middle stump rather than padding up, with the bat above your head. Not his finest moment...

99 all out. They're making Harding look good, finishing with 3-17! :p To put this in perspective, he averages 46 with the ball! This should be very easy to chase, even with my batters

End of Over 50: 280-6, runrate=5.60
Odonague 10-0-76-0
Chaudhry* 16 (14 balls)
Mampe 169 (143 balls)
Last Wicket: Rhodes lbw b. Copeland 12 (FOW: 200/6)

in the end a good score, mampe, what a hero, hopefully he can follow it up with the ball, his strong stmaina should give him a hand there

Chased 99 down in 14 overs without a loss of wicket, Challinor got 60 and Chinthaka 36. Easily survived this season

9 Overs gone in their reply, as expected really
End of Over 9: 25-3, runrate=2.78, reqrunrate=9.22 (402-1)
Storer 5-0-19-1
Gilroy* 1 (3 balls)
Themba 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Bates c. Pickford b. Storer 12 (FOW: 24/3)
Good lad Storer!
10.5 W Storer to Hignett
Big appeal from Archibald....and he's out! Well, Hignett has tried to flay that through the off side, but it's just taken the faintest of edges and he's on his way!
10.4 W Storer to Themba
Good length ball just outside off stump which swings in late. Themba puts his foot across and tries to flick it away but misses and the ball hits his pad right in front. The umpire raises his finger. Out!

Welcome to Assassins Dome for the match between Assassins XI and Borncricketers XI.

We can tell you that Borncricketers XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this partially cloud day.

5.4 W Alshaun to Mahmood
Mahmood nicked the one that pitched perfectly in the corridor, caught by Abdul kadir.

8.5 W Masilo to Hollis
An inswinger deceives Hollis all ends up and rips out his middle stump.

End of Over 9: 31-2, runrate=3.44
Masilo 5-0-19-1
Ettienne* 1 (1 balls)
Hansen 24 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Hollis b. Masilo 2 (FOW: 30/2)
