Hansen played a captains innings and made 102 of 110 balls
Ettiene played another topclass ininngs scoring 125 of 135 balls
Assassins XI scored 257/10 in 49 overs.
Then BC's were in all type of trouble at 36/4 after 10 overs with Rahim doing the major part by taking 3 wickets.
Then Hockings and Mckenzie tried there best to save BC but failed when Rahim came back in last 10 overs. They scored 78 and 69 respectively.
BC's were bowled out for 201 in 45 overs with Rahim producing astonsishing career best figures of 7/22 in 8 overs.

i am doing OK against BushWakers...
Zakahudin was superb taking 3 wickets for 38...Armstrong also doing good with 8 overs and only went for 22...but didn't take any wickets...i have a decent chance of winning this i think...if i can restrict them to under 250...
went for more than i expected in the end...

Also if i did get either Hansen or Etienne earlier then i think you would have been around 190 all out, cause if you look only Hansen and Eitenne scored big centuries and the rest just got out without scoring much. Disappointed that Adbul Kadir or Karthikeyan couldnt stay at their crease and play a valuable innings, both of them getting stummped to Rahim

In a game that would be handy to win (I know I'm not a challenger to promote), with the Rabbitohs gently poised in exactly the same position as the Challengers XI, the Challengers rose up to the challenge.
New boy Fitz Mason impressed by taking 4/50 on debut - maybe not the most economical bowling on a green pitch but he still did quite well.
Bishop also impressed with 3/54, whilst Wood took a quiet 2/41.
In the end the Rabbitohs succumbed just under 50 overs for 240, not a bad effort on a green pitch.
The Challengers reply did not get off to a great start, with Lungile going for a 2 ball duck, and the score going from 38/2 to 154/4, but Bocks and Bishop, two players who have not fired for a while, conjured up a fine 90 run partnership to bring the match home 6 overs short.
Battrick MOTM: Bocks
My MOTM: Rod Bishop, not only did he score 58 off 43 balls, but fine bowling figures of 3/54 showed allround effort.

After a decent start, youngster Sohail fell to Lennox Rudi, nicking him to Gallagher at slip. 32/1. Moodley, who has, by Brigg's claim, made number all his own, strutted in at number three, only to be strutting back the other way as Rudi got rid of him four balls later for 0. 32/2, and excellent over there from Rudi.
After facing off Rudi and tonking Wavell Folkes for 30 off five overs, Tuckett was introduced, and struck immediately by removing skipper Nalin Ali, clean bowled as he failed to read the googly. 59/4. He struck the very next ball with youngster Dave Jepson plum in front to end the over. He had his hattrick attempt spoiled next over as Pickford chopped away the first ball safely. However, in doing so, Pickford got himself runout to some brilliant fielding from Kieran Mcintyre, and Ainswroth, who had battled for his 48 off 46 balls, followed suit next ball cleaned up by a Tuckett flipper. The Bullets were 65/6 and in deep trouble! Lisbie fell soon, missing a straight ball from Tuckett to hand the young spinner his 4th wicket. Ken Archibald, the experienced keeper with over 80 games under his belt, didn't help causes and made a sucidal run trying to chance Crouch's arm, and the score was 83/8. The tailenders had a swing, but Burdett msicued a slog and Rankin mad a foolish run to leave the Bullets all out for a meagre 110 in 26 overs. Tuckett finishing with an excellent haul of 4/11 in his five overs, Rudi picking up 2, Andrews 1 and three runouts.
The chase got off to a slow start. Mcintyre looked well out of his depth against a strong seam attack and scratched around for 17 off 51 balls before edging Mcinlay to Ainsworth at slip. He failed to hit a single boundary. 32/1. But Rudi took the attack to the bowlers and creamed about Pickford and Rankin on a good batting strip for a fantastic 51 from 40 balls, with two sixes and four hits to the fence. He and Whing -who made a sensible 42 from 57 balls- saw the visiting home with 26.4 overs and 9 wickets to spare.
Ratings:
The two teams seemed evenly matched, except the bowling where the Bullets were completely outclassed. And that's what made all the difference today, as one linup took ten wickets for 110 runs, and the other 1 for 111.
Battrick MOTM: Rudi, for his two early strikes and fabulous fifty.
My MOTM: Bill Tuckett. 4/11 in five overs, the scalps being Ali, Jepson, Lisbie and the big one of Ainsworth. Ripped out the heart of their batting really.

Well it was my bowling line-up that was weakest today, didnt play Storer or Aminuddin and decided to go with Burdett and McKinally instead, to say both have very good primaries and secondaries, they arent really showing it, and low morale seems to be the cause. Hopefully next season they will be back at their best, but im not too bothered about this defeat, to be honest I was expecting it anyway, Zorax has one of the best squads on here and in all honesty he should be sitting in my position in the league.FreddieFan said:

It'll be interesting to see how you handle the Assasains. I gave Zain a LOT of tips when he joined, and know his squad well. But of late he has brought in a lot of new players who I don't know very well and seems to have stumbled on some new strategies. I hope I don't end up regretting helping him in the first place
