Commentary Thread

After seeing the commentry here i think my team fought really hard but hasne going earlier was really a big blow. And it was all down to tactics. I was orignally thinking of putting hansen down the order so that he dont have to play Rudi and Crouch so early and then set to attacking can do the job but at the last minute i decided with the default lineup. A really good match. Hoping for a rematch soon Lions.

25 overs Update
This is not good. Ainsworth is smashing my bowlers all over the park. Especially the spinner Akhlagullah. I hope he gets out quickly otherwise i think i dont have a chance.

End of Over 25: 140-2, runrate=5.60
Akhlagullah 6-0-37-0
Ainsworth* 91 (83 balls)
Ali 7 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Moodley c. Hansen b. Dickman 0 (FOW: 99/2)

Another problem is that he is not giving strike to other batsman for last 4-5 overs.

26.1 1 Akhlagullah to Ainsworth
Nurdles the ball away to third man.
And that's a century for Ainsworth! Well played indeed Sir!

hehehe, lol thats how he is, good u got moodley out early, once he stays he can become as annoying as Ainsworth:p

Yeah thats the good part. But i need him otherwise i will have to chase above 300

30.5 W Akhlagullah to Ainsworth
Hansen claims the catch. The umpire takes his time making the decision but finally the finger goes up. Akhlagullah is jubilant.
Got HIM

Ainsworth is OUT!

The Bullets could and may collapse now...

hehehe good job, yea as zorax said a collapse could be on the cards'

my game, against some random team (RRD Israel)that was 2nd on the promotion list who wanted to play me, is going pretty well for me:)

The spinners are bowling pretty well Rampaul 28-3 off 10, Ali 26-1 off 10 and Tau 26-0 off 8
End of Over 40: 151-5, runrate=3.78
Rampaul 10-2-28-3
Ghandi* 9 (21 balls)
Ghandi 1 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Ghandi c. Abdul kadir b. Rampaul 6 (FOW: 149/5)

Excellent over from Alshaun
40.6 W Alshaun to Mitten
Driven to Ali at short cover, brilliant catch low to his left. Excellent field placement there.
40.5 W Alshaun to Ghandi
Through the gate went the ball, and to the pavilion went Ghandi. A great wicket taking delivery!
40.4 . Alshaun to Ghandi
Digs in a short rising ball just outside off stump, shapes to pull but bails out late, letting it go through to Abdul kadir.
40.3 4 Alshaun to Ghandi
A half volley is easy pickings for Ghandi. The ball races away through the covers for four.
40.2 . Alshaun to Ghandi
Very watchfully defended down the line by Ghandi.
40.1 W Alshaun to Ghandi
STUMPED! Ghandi was so far out of his crease he'll need a bus ride to get back.

End of Over 41: 155-8, runrate=3.78
Alshaun 6-1-25-4
Ghandi* 1 (3 balls)
Ahmed 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Mitten c. Ali b. Alshaun 0 (FOW: 155/8)

bundled out for 165
End of Over 44: 165-10, runrate=3.75
Tau 9-0-30-2
Ahmed* 6 (6 balls)

Hopefully this should be a pretty easy chase:upray

End of Over 36: 201-3, runrate=5.58
Dickman 8-0-36-2
Ali* 27 (38 balls)
Jepson 15 (22 balls)

Last Wicket: Ainsworth c. Hansen b. Akhlagullah 111 (FOW: 176/3)

200 up, collapse avoided so far. Good score it seems, but if Ali bats longer, his bowling could suffer and the run-rate could continue to drop...
3 boundaries and a total of 14 runs in that last 1.3 overs. Pressure back on the Assassins...

Yea Ali and Jepson are batting pretty well rite now, picking up frequent boundries, Zain u need wickets!!

End of Over 38: 219-3, runrate=5.76
Dickman 9-0-45-2
Ali* 36 (44 balls)
Jepson 24 (28 balls)

Last Wicket: Ainsworth c. Hansen b. Akhlagullah 111 (FOW: 176/3)

Zorax dont u mean that the run rate would continue to increase?

and there it is a break thru!

38.1 W Ettienne to Ali
Ali clearly didn't have the pace to cover the ground to the crease in time, an easy run out

Lol, no, Ali was slowing things down. :p

Could be good, could be bad. Let's see what the fresh batter can do...
Pickford, another allrounder. And a spinner. Pitch is supposed to be green, might not be so effective. Then again, Tuckett kills teams on Green wickets...

Jepson is killing Zain here. That would be a big wicket. Archibald and apparently Lisbie can both bat too...280 should be what Briggs would be expecting.

Dickman answers the call!

39.4 W Dickman to Jepson
If Jepson had two bats, he wouldn't have gotten to that. Mischief and mayhem from Dickman there.

lol ur battings not that bad...u made 257 against me with everyone except 2 ppl failing 8-)

41.3 W Ettienne to Archibald
Out! An absolute gem of a catch. Mahmood has taken that one-handed catch inches from the ground, diving to his right-hand side in the deep point position. Archibald is stunned.

End of Over 42: 237-6, runrate=5.64
Ettienne 9-0-48-1
Pickford* 4 (8 balls)
Lisbie 1 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Archibald c. Mahmood b. Ettienne 8 (FOW: 235/6)
280 looks difficult. Zain could be chasing 260. If Hansen, Heath and Ibbrahim fire, they are in with a shot...

yep looks like u r gonna wrap up the tail easily here

42.2 W Ibbrahim to Lisbie
Lisbie flat bats a widish length ball into the waiting hands of long off. A good catch as the ball shot sharply off the bat.

Collapse! Collapse! Brigg's tailenders are in, this could get over for below 250!
