Cricket 2004 changes - Break through guys

You are in great luck those who havent bought this game yet, it is looking like its easier to alter Cricket 2004 as compared to cricket 2002. The CPU 1day50 is all yours below Zimrahil, I wont be doing any kind of changes and will simply use your settings this time. This time around I will try and concentrate on breaking the code. Still early days for accolades but there is certainly hope for the ones who bought on PC.

Fantastic. I know I'm a newbie here, but looking over the posts, I have to appreciate the amount of work gone into 2002 by you fella's. It really is above and beyond the call of duty.

It's also why PC has BIG benefits over PS2 or any other console. A game can be bug free (i.e not crash or freeze) but still be in need of help.

You guys are the Knights in Shining Kookabura.

Oh, and respect to the pictures of modded bats, I bought a Big Kahuna from a little place above a garage in Bristol las tsummer. 1/2 onze below 3Ibs and a blade as thick as Arnie's Ankle. Its an absolute BEAUT.

Thanks again (for trying) and praise allround when you succeed (which, judging from the effort you guys put in - is pretty much a foregone conclusion)

Oh, if you want any C++ stuff tinkered with then I can help in the Summer (after I get through some bloody graft at work - if i'm not STTBT of staring at a screen by then)

Clarker, thanks for dropping by and for your appreciative words. Am sure you will be of great help when we are through with what needs to be done to, thanks for the offer.

To those who are keen to follow what we were up to, we have been able to change few things in the game like high or low bounce when the ball is new or old or depending on pitch and weather conditions. Oh yeah, EA have in place a new code in place to decide the bounce ie based on ball, pitch and weather conditions which is great.

Just wanted to know from guys who have been playing for sometime, are there more byes conceded on a hard pitch? As far as I can see hard pitch seems to be the only with too high bounce. If it is so then I am hopeful we can fix the byes issue on the hard pitch.

There are also other things like CPU ODI pacing, changes to spin, swing and pace possible. This takes the backseat as of now, we are still not there yet but wont be long before we do.

Zimrahil, sent a mail this morning not sure if you seen it yet or is it too eary over there.

I have found that LOW bounce can also lead to byes when you bowl a slower ball. It bounces short of the keeper and **swoosh** ... straight between his legs. The real gilchrist would have a fit if he saw what a crappy job he does in the game.

Thats a bit disappointing then, maybe look for other avenues to fix this if possible. Anyway thanks for input.

Ravi, you been able to find the stroke files? From what Zim said a few of the strokes need tinkering (strength/direction etc).
