CCI is also easy to access and it offers for a good seat position,not to mention,the members will get free passes too.

Wankhede is in apalling shape.
I had been there for the Ind-Aus ODI last October and it is in horrific shape. Not something that you expect from a stadium that will be hosting a World Cup Final in a couple of years time.

You will soon realise that D.Y. Patil is the best ground in India for any type of matches. Especially Day and Night. It has some of the best floodlights in India. I am a resident of Nerul and have been to stadium several times. It is gonna Rock...come IPL.

Accessing the stadium is not a problem.Especially from Pune,you can be assured of no traffic et all.Just move along the express-way and turn left.

Ok,the Wankhede and CCI are going to be demolished soon.So,most probably the International matches could be played at D.Y.Patil or shifted to Pune.

I happen to know this stuff cause my uncle's got the contract for the Wankhede.

Does`nt look like it will happen anytime soon though.The`ve scheduled a test match versus England at Mumbai in November 08.

The DY Patil stadium looks pure class though. I was there as a volunteer for today`s Delhi v Mumbai game.
Looks the best stadium in India by a mile. the entry and exit to the venue is smooth...miles ahead of the Wankhede and being an all seater stadium,is very comfortable.
Anyone who saw today`s game will agree with me.
The crowd really egged the home side on.
