I've tried using both Firefox and IE 8, but for a few days now I've had this strange problem where downloads seem to be intermittently cutting out. I'd be downloading something and the hub lights on my BT HomeHub will stop flashing for a few seconds - before when downloading something, they'd flash continously until the download was finished. The odd thing is, it doesn't appear to affect online gaming...

Can anyone help?

Edit: The download information (such as 350kbps and time remaining also sometimes don't seem to be updating when the lights aren't flashing).

This is really annoying - downloads that say they'll take 10 minutes are taking more than double that because of this intermittent cutting out. Has anyone experienced this before?

I have scanned my system for malware and it's clean. I tried resetting the Hub, that didn't work either - could there be a problem with either the Hub or my wireless adaptor? Better that it's the Hub - then BT will have to send the new black one. :D

Hmm.. Tried a different DNS Server?

Go into network connections, then manage network adapters. Go to properties of the wireless adapter, and in the TCP/IP V4, change the DNS to some publicly available ones..

I am using 203.0.178.191 which I got off the net as well..
Worth a try.

If you've got a white hub, then you are using wireless G which is rubbish. I had loads of problems when using wireless G and have switched to N+. To confirm its a wireless issue try using a network cable.

Yes, it's the white hub. BT said it'd cost ?80 to upgrade to the black one.

You don't need to have the BT one, you can pick up a Wireless N Router for less. Don't forget you'll probably need new network adapters too if you want to upgrade to N ;)
