England's tour of India - 2021

14 overs 11 runs 10 maiden overs and 2 wickets

One question-

What has kept Jimmy so young over the years? Does he have some antidote or something of that sort?
Good old Lancashire grit me thinks: but as a matter of fact Jimmy really looks after his body and he has been generally well cared for in terms of not over-using him. I think he will go Down under this year and maybe the summer series next year and hang his boots up. But he might go past 40. he certainly still has the fitness.

Looks like England might believe they can grab a lead here. Still a long way to go but England's day so far.

England's batting line up hasn't been so impressive since the 1st test.

England need to get atleast a couple of more wickets at this stage to be able to get a lead here- Yeh hai aam zindagi (This is normal life)

- Yeh hai Mentos zindagi asprin mode :p (This is Mentos life asprin mode)

I would pick one Jason Roy over ten Alex Hales. May be, Roy has lost some touch after the World Cup but he's an absolute beast and extremely classy while at it. Roy was one of the chaps along with Buttler that really revolutionised England's white ball game. Just his presence is a big big effect and I am sure the team within feels that way too. Jeez, that innings against SA in the World T20 is so underrated. Set up the win.

I regard Roy in very high standards especially in ODIs where he is a clear upgrade (and the way England suddenly bounced back in the 2019 WC even when he was half fit showed how crucial he is) but even when Hales was in the reckoning he had the slightest of edge on Roy in T20s (the raw stats seem to bear this out). And if Hales has rectified his issues versus spin as the article points out then he might very well be world class. It is a bit of a first world problem indeed but England can create history and win three white ball tournaments consecutively IMO and their best chance to do that is with Hales in the T20I squad if his dressing room impact is minimal.

Anderson is ridiculously good. Anyone dismissing him as a home track bully or an inferior bowler based on overall averages needs to have their eyes examined!

What the hell is that Rohit decision?!!?!?!

Well now I can say it because an Indian batsman was out and it won't be sour grapes...

but "umpire's call" when it's just clipping on line or hitting is a joke.

i don't know if the law changed but what happened to the batsman getting benefit of the doubt. when it's just clipping IMO the umpire has got it wrong and not given benefit of the doubt, and it should be not-out. I think 45% + of the ball should be inline or hitting to be out.

but still i'm glad rohit is out. & england have had loads of shit decisions like that

The pace and movement did the trick there for Ben Stokes. He has been terrific with the bat as well the ball in this match.

England have had it rough a couple of test no doubt. First test they had everything going for them. Rohit was hit on his inner thigh pad ffs. I just feel this drs stuff needs to be used for the howler. There's no way any reasonable umpire is giving that out on field. It was just high. And I also don't know how impact shows umpires call. It was dead in line!!

Ouch .. we are looking down and out. A lead of atleast 50-75 was needed since we bat last.

It looks like Eng will end up with the lead here - bye bye WTC finals

Ben Stokes has been brilliant with bowl in this innings.
