England's tour of India (Nov '16/Feb '17)

LOL It was a troll , because he has now started to use CEAT bat which Rohit also uses , and he is also performing like him so you know a troll :p
Does that mean he will score 264 in an ODI? Or hit most boundaries in an ODI innings? Think before speaking.

Good start from India. Lost Ashwin but Jadeja and Jayant seem to be comfortable out there. Has the pitch eased up?

It was never volatile to begin with, just poor batting from both sides.

Exactly. That is why I would`nt put it beyond the English side to score a big 2nd innings score here. We must keep extend this lead to as large as possible so that we nullify the English batting depth.

I really feel jadeja deserves a ton here.

Same, when you look at his batting and Ashwin's when they came into the side, Jadeja was the real all-rounder and he definitely hasn't lived up his 3 FC triple hundreds, so I hope he takes some real confidence from this innings and continues to work on his batting irrespective of getting his 100.

^ He sure does, but I know he won't :p

EDIT: Told ya!

A lead of over 120 should make things interesting, anything less than that would make things a bit uncomfortable for India. England have been playing solid cricket, almost matching India in all the innings so far. So I think batting fourth on this pitch will not be as easy as it is now.

This is a very good lead, will probably end up deciding the game and if I'm honest I feel our bowlers will get a lot more out of this pitch than their English counterparts.

Parthiv deserve some credit for his 40 odd coming in the team after 8 years and also a WK you can see he is constantly chirping. He's the one who suggested to get more close in fielders to Kohli and also he has been playing mind games against the batsmen like when he encouraged Root to go against the turn when he tried to tuck on the leg side few overs back. He's definitely a better WKB can Saha but sadly the age is no more in his favour. Shame but he will in all likelihood be dropped for Saha in the next match if the latter is fit. Would love if Saha can do what Parthiv is doing so far. Even Australia dropped a better WKB for a chirper (Wade) and he did a great job to give Lyon confidence who was again amongst wickets for Australia. Thats what a chirping WK can do to the team - lifting morale when the chips are down and give some insights since he has the best view of the field and all going on.

Amen to that!

Cook has looked in all sorts of trouble against the spin twins here. This has been a gripping test series so far. The pitches in India this season have made for more interesting test cricket than in most parts of the world. I`m surprised as to how people are trying everything to label these pitches and talk so much about the tracks despite them being perfectly good test match wickets. Had the scores been similar to what we`ve seen in this series elsewhere in the world, people would be lauding the quality of the pitches.

On another note, the crowds except for Mohali have been really good right through the NZ and England test series. They should really stop allotting test cricket to Mohali. Crowds will be far better in Mumbai and Chennai, especially on the weekends.

Parthiv`s keeping is far too loose for test cricket.

Hope Kohli takes a leaf of the things going on. Choking the opposition out by drying the runs up. Wouldn't want another defensive captain.
