Extracting files from *.gob using MultiEX

This won't affect the county lineups at all. You've created a new player. What you can do is copy Darren Gough for example, add him over McGrath and he will replace McGrath in the England team (batting at 4 in the default lineup). This means you can edit the default squad as well as the default lineup. You can have the default england team composed entirely of Surrey players (now there's a thought).
Remember there's always the delete player function so you can go back if you make mistakes.

The ctm files (or whatever extension they have) are different for all the teams so if you edit 1 team, it would only affect that particular team and not other team which has the same player.

OK thanks guys; at least there's a way round the line-up bug in exhibition matches until a line-up editor is available. Thanks again :) .

Here is a program to view the pictures in the gob file. there is no readme, so listen up.

You have to type in the address in the file where the picture file starts, and these will begin like "face3g", "kit01", "ballA2" etc. You have to work these out for yourself at the moment. There have been some provided for you in the list box that you can see to the bottom right of the screen. If you double click on one of these then click show image, the image will appear on the screen.

you must use the text box at the top to point to your gob file or it will not work. I didn't use a dialog box to select the file as this causes compatability issues, so learn to type.

You will also need to figure out the resolution of the image for yourself, but this is pretty easy if you know how. Look at the png files to find the general resolutions for certain files - e.g. balls are 256x256, kits are generally 512x512, as are grass textures.

Just fiddle with it for a while.

When you find a file you want to "remember", press save file info to starts.dat and you can look it up later on. One little bug that I cannot be bothered to change at the moment is that if you open say a 512 x 512 image, then a 256x256, you can still see the 512 image underneath, but just save the file info and reopen the program to sort this out.

Have fun.

Feedback would be good!
