FA Cup

No. It affected us more because we didn't plan to play them. The gap in class was quite large.

We played with our 3rd and 4th choice strikers

Great win, hopefully as Arsenal have got Milan next they'll get on a bad run, 1 result shouldn't do that but looking at their next game they could end up down on confidence. Definitely sent a message out about the title race more than the cup though. Fletcher was class, he always works hard but today he did what he rarely does and played well! Quality.

Adebayors dive was shcoking, if Ronaldo had done it Alan Green would have killed him. Despite both sides lack of players it was Gallas and Toure who were made too look like gons by Rooney as well :D Carrick was class, I sad he'd been brilliant for us and Fergie not picking him was stupid and he showed it today. Nani, well Phil you can't hate him now :D The atmosphere sounded good too.

Wayne Rooney is class. If there was an MVP award for the prem it would have to go to him.

Well I think losing today may just be a blessing in disguise for the Gunners. Now they have fewer games to play and will be focusing on the Champions League and the Premiership. Although they need not have lost in this fashion.

Great to see Lampard scoring those goals and setting up the third. I think we have a very good chance of defending our title.

Yeh it was, it always is. When he has time to think he finds a way to mess it up, just needs to learn to keep a cool head I guess, hopefully it will come with experience.

I didn't hate him in the first place, just had my doubts about him:p, he was superb today though. Yeah the atmosphere was amazing.

I'm not having this nonsense about a blessing in disguise, you got knocked out of the cup, your not going to win the treble, you suffered a heavy loss against a title rival, now tell me where the positives are.

Nani's kickups ftw. I dont get why Wenger is getting so annoyed about it. Good on Nani, humiliate those cheating cockneys like they should be. Its not against the laws of the game like Adebayor's dive or Gallas' kick on Nani, or what Eboue did. It was so funny watching the Arsenal players get so wound up.

He's a Chelsea supporter, Phil...

Hoyte deserved to be showed up but Nani's kick ups just showed how annoyingly arrogant Man Utd are.

Hang on, after 70 minutes of a game against rivals and your winning 4-0, your not allowed to showboat? We were completely outclassing you, and we had the right to be a little arrogant, and humiliate Arsenal.

Of course, Arsenal are little angels, and would never showboat or be arrogant:

If Fabregas had done it, he would have been the king of football, a master at work, a legend, both from Arsenal fans and from the press. But because a United player does it, he's an arrogant little something or other.

That wasn't at all showboating. They were confused as to what the rules were for penalties. It's not like Pires turned around and flicked it with his heel. Note how they never tried it again after that.

I mean, in one post you condemn Wenger for being arrogant and in another post, you condone United's arrogance. What's the difference?

Whether you're winning or losing, arrogance is arrogance and it's annoying.

If Fabregas had have done it, you would have no doubt been pissed.

If they wanted Henry to take it, then he should have taken it in the first place instead of messing about with it, its arrogance.

United were 4 goals ahead and trying to use it to humiliate their rivals and it worked, I think tonight will have been a big psychological blow and Nani doing that will have added to it. Wenger shows his arrogance by claiming not to have seen anything bad his little kids have done, then complains about United's pitch, which yeah is in an awful state, but is the same for both teams. I mean you got beat 5-1 against Spurs, and he says Arsenal deserved to win.

Yeah I would have been annoyed if Fabregas had of done it, but I wouldnt have said it was out of order like Wenger did, I'd have called him a few names, but I'd know that he is entitled to do it. Everyone would have been marvelling at Fabregas' talents, cos its a United player, we're so arrogant.

First of all, I'll pick out the comment about Arsene Wenger saying Arsenal shoul have beaten Spurs which is ludicrous.

Where does he say Arsenal should have won?

Secondly, how does claiming not to see anything make him arrogant? The pitch was awful and, yes, it was the same for both teams but Arsenal can't control the state of the opposition's pitch so he had every right to complain about it.

Pires wanted to do something out of the ordinary and unexpected, hoping for it to bewilder their oppnents and hope for a goal which is not at all arrogance.

It's obviously not just Nani's flicks that make Man U and their fans arrogant. It's posts like yours at the start of the season that said Arsenal wouldn't last until Christmas and Man U would take the title by storm or Hargreaves and Ferguson's comments that Arsenal would just fall away that make Manchester United arrogant.

'The scoreline doesnt reflect what happened'
Thats close enough for me.

LOL! If it was a free kick, that comment would have been valid, but for it to 'bewilder their opponents' is one of the craziest things I've read. It was a penalty, you're only against the keeper, the ten other players dont matter, they were just showing off. Did Henry really not believe he could beat a City keeper from 12 yards?

We tend to do our talking on the pitch, lets see what Arsenal have done:

Jumped on Ruud Van Nistelrooy after he missed a pen (more unsporting than what Nani did)
Threw pizza at Fergie, because we stopped you getting 50 games unbeaten.
This little gem from Gallas earlier this week:

Notice him saying it would be difficult for us to win:p
And apparently the Arsenal fans were singing (now thats a shock to begin with today as they were pathetic) "We'll be back to win the league". We'll see about that...

Anyway, back on to the match, has anyone seen Fabregas since the match, I heard he was last sighted in Anderson's pocket...

Well, we tend to concentrate on our own performances rather than gloat abut how we are better than everyone else.

Arsenal are 5 points ahead at the top of the league, forgive us for thinking we have a chance to win the league. Notice how we talk about our strengths rather than our opponent's weaknesses. We weren't already awarding ourselves the title at the start of the season.

Then, there's te people at school, who know very little about football gloating about being top on GD and continously bringing '99 into every debate. That was nearly 10 years ago! It's irrelevant. Man U fans tell Liverpool fans to stop boasting about CL 5 times and living in the past, when you do the exact same thing.

Must I explain the penalty incident again? It was a stupid thing to do. They didn't knwo ti was illegal and never tried it again because they looked like prats doing it. It wasn't arrogance, just ignorance.

We jumped on Ruud because we thought he has won a very dubious pen, plus, he got Vieira sent off.

'The scoreline doesn't reflect what happened'

Of course, that means 'We should have won'...

There's no point carrying on this argument as it will never end. We both have our views and I respect you even though you support...Those who shall not be named.

Fair do's, I disagree on everything you've said, but we'll agree to disagree:D Come May, may the best team win (as long as the best team is United obviously:p).

Just make sure you order the lasagne on Match Day 38.
