Long winded, gimmicky and cheesy shots inside the dressing room on the other hand would be an utter waste

Just needs to be simple and easily enjoyable, but skippable...

Batsmen in the dugout during a T20
Shot of the bowler/3rd man talking to the 12th man on the boundary line
Shot of an out-fielder signing an autograph
Shot of the batsmen waiting in the stands/dressing room area

...etc, nothing long winded. Keep it "cricket" ...short and simple.

I'd also like to see cute stuff like during the "welcome to the game" stuff when it's a "Big Game" or a "Big Stadium" match to tie in with the "we're expecting a sell-out crowd here" commentary rather than the same panning-shot of the stadium, a shot of the queue lining up outside the stadium

Agreed. The stadium announcer is an excellent example of how something "cosmetic" is used in a fantastic way and you never really get tired of him!

I've said it before but the sound-stuff in the first game is above and beyond any other game ever made in the cricket library. Top notch, room for improvement for sure but the "environment" stuff and the customization for individual player noises added incredible variety.

Maybe use these shots during the time when you simulate to the next stage your player features?

Again, no. It wouldn't make any sense if you're simulating stuff to see 12th man running on the field with drinks.

Needs to reflect what's happening in the game, but be short and skippable.

A bowler getting congratulated by the crowd for taking a wicket in the over, 12th Man on the field near the end of a crucial run chase, the shot of a Captain and Bowler discussing a field change as you're changing the field, etc.

You shouldn't be forced to watch this stuff. The simulation "stadium shot" or scoreboard is fine as is. This should be stuff intermittently used at the end of overs or when you're changing fields or whenever the game needs to "reset" stuff. It should be alternating along with HUD scorecards and "next batsmen" and bowler stuff.

But should be skipped easily and very short, reflecting decisions you're making or events that are happening in the game.

They could even have flags waving for their team wearing the team jersey..So when the match starts camera can show the amount of support for the home team with cheers to give that oomph factor and even the crowd going bizzarg on the home team winning the toss...

Hit wicket when batsman played with wrong foot work

This happens so rarely and I imagine would cause more issues than be beneficial for the game. I'd prefer they just nail down things like edges and catches in slips/keeper and stumpings.

While simulating stuff we could see the score of batsman batting and what has happened in the over (like it shows "this over in matches" eg- 1 3 6 2 W Wd 1) just like that :D

Reaction/ awareness animations: players seem lifeless, only time you see emotions is for wickets and batting milestones

Would like to see stuff like:
  • bowler has hands on head when the ball just misses the stumps.
  • When the fielder throws it to the wrong end , bowler or keeper depending on which end was the run out look in the fielder's direction and signal with his hands to the stumps
  • batsmen indicates with his hand to non striker which way the ball is spinning, this could be good animation in the dead periods in thegame e.g. looking at the field through th bowler/ shinning the ball
  • batsmen shadow batting the correct shot when they play the wrong shot to the ball
  • fielders reacting to a close run out when the ball just misses the stumps
  • bowler wants nothing to do with the ball, and umpire drops down when the ball is absolutely hammered straight back
  • would like to see three animations for the defensive shot , 1. normal 2. tucking the bat in when beaten 3. pushing/reaching for it when ur not to the ball. animations 2 and 3 make bowling more enjoyable cause from the batsmen's reaction u can tell his in trouble
  • fielders close in flinch when the ball is hit in their direction at the moment they are too casual and don't seem worried about getting hit. They turn away but too casually
  • keeper moves in a more reactive way that makes the keeper look they are reacting to each ball. e.g short ball by spinner and the batsmen is looking to cut late. the keeper should spring up, anticipating a edge, rising higher then a naturally grounded position to try and meet the ball
  • intensity of celebrations should reflect match situation, losing game a wicket would be more low key. Tight game, the breakthrough should be more intense.
Different speeds and trajectories off the bat: some examples: balls that go no where off high up on the bat, those balls that look like they carry to the fielder but fall short, ones that are smashed that are travelling fast and flat, top edges/ miss hits that go straight up, balls coming off the gloves or bat handle just pop/ balloon up to infielders/bowler.

In the current game all shots travel same speed and trajectory I've noticed this particularly with lofted aggressive shots.

Keeper aiding bowler: this could be a subtle way of the game helping the bowler. e.g balls it in a good area. keeper reacts postively byclapping, encouraging/ keep it there

e.g. bowler is bowling too short and gets hammered, particularly with new ball, keeper will encourage bowler to pitch it up.

Even if the keeper was made vocal not for dropping hints but just reacting to the play it would add more life to the on field environment.

Keeping the ball dry: Implement the effects of moisture/precipitation on the ball for day/night odi's & T20s(dedicated button for drying ball) - this could add another element to the toss
this is one aspect neglected. for day nighters or night games particular in asia this would add some realism. As well as shinning the ball their should be a option for drying the ball. When bowling at night keeping the ball dry helps the spinner grip and helps the bowlers/spinners hold it better. DBC could implement this behaviour for day nighters and night limited overs games. if you don't keep the ball dry bowler has slightly higher chance of missing line and length/ over pitching and bowling full tosses. Something like that could be implemented

I was thinking about running between the wickets. Is it possible to change the speed for different players run. For example, players like Gayle and AB have such different speeds or a batsmen that have been in the middle for longer is likely to be slower than a new batsmen.

It kinda happens already when you simulate in-match you can pause and see what's going on at any time. Again, its prolly something you would watch once or twice and then want to skip it entirely.

...a lot of the factors in these suggestions really need to be "would it be intrusive after a while and be skipped eventually?"

I however LOVE the idea of having the batsman shadow-shot the correct one to play, that is crazy good in-game feedback.

Expecting more realistic game like FIFA and PES series
  • Batsmen should play according to match situation.. in DB14 if the batting team need 6 ,12 or 20 runs from the last over the approach is same.
  • More real cricketing shots ,good onside ,off side and straight drives ,flat sixes ,sweep shots etc .
  • Need to change non realistic fielding like...running from 30 yard circle to boundary line and taking a catch and keeping 4-5 slips for a spin bowler
  • Bowling changes according to match situations...(i hit a bowler for 6 sixes in his first two overs..and he is bowling the third ).
  • Different bowling actions ...like Malinga..Mcgrath..Akram..Anderson etc
  • Batting and bowling challenges like EA 2007

dont think whether all such changes would get done in coming up cricket game,i mean 1 or 2 is ok but definitely not all of them they will cover here, by the way which one you find most important should be done

Yeah rather than having more cut scenes i think the key is to have animations occurring in real time on the field, bringing life to the on field environment. Not animations that the game forces you to recognise through cut scenes but animations occurring on the field, it is up to you the player to acknowledge em.

For example when batting you are scanning the field , you might pick up a fielder stretching. This is an indication that this player might be coming into the attack next over or very soon.
e.g. you are batting there's a dead period in the game and ur player signals to the non striker with their hand which way the ball is turning. The player is signalling to the non striker but is actually subtly signalling to you which way the ball is turning.

Another example is shadow batting , to tell you what shot you should have played.

These behaviours are natural to the game of cricket so are part of the fabric of cricket and subtly act as assistance without actually trying to be.

Some other animations on the field should be player reactions to close calls like just missing the stump , players showing frustration at missing a easy run out/catch. Players high fiving and acknowledging a great save by the fielder. Scanning the field you might pick a out fielder interacting with the crowd, or appear to be talking to bowling coach/ support stuff member. Slips/ keeper appear to be talking, maybe appear to be sharing a joke and laughing

The key is the animations are there to see on the field, the game doesn't force you to acknowledge em through cut scenes but are there if you look around, adds life to the on field environment. You might pick up new little quirks from looking around/ just playing the game, makes the game a experience.
