Meh, playing as Bayern in the bundesliga doesnt count, you need to have credible opposition in your league

2 of my save games have become corrupted, when I load them up it brings up an error message "Cannot load save file". Any ideas what I can do?

Highly unlikely that you can do anything. Backups are the only the preventive measure against such problems.

Yes, you really should have the game set to autosave each month, that way you can use one of the 2 backups it makes. As for the german league, pah I played a while ago as 1860 Munich, No transfer budget to speak of, an over budget wage bill and I still qualified for europe in my first season by winning the German league cup (yes 1860 are in bundesliga 2) I won the bundesliga in my 3rd season I think. Bayern and Bremen are the only 2 german clubs that are any bother in the game.

I've started a new game last night after winning the premiership and fa cup. This time I'm playing as Athletic Madrid. I'll update you on my progress.

I switched off incremental auto save a while back and just use normal auto save but I'll put it back on. It was just getting interesting in those games as well I've managed Bayern once but I had to sell Ballack to be able to bring in some decent players.

Half Term Report

Halfway through my first season as Athletico's Manager and its not going too bad. I currently sit 3rd in the table, just behind Real Madrid but a country mile behind Barca. I'm still in the spanish cup too. I've only made one real signing. I bought in Vanden Borre (I always buy him) apart from that I've signed a couple of youngsters for the future. I've slimmed the A squad down and sent most everyone else out on loan until I figure out who I need for the future. So all in all not a bad first half of the season. European Qualification is the goal for this season then I should be able to attract some bigger players (if only I could get some transfer funds).

Vanden Borre is a brilliant buy, can play in the first team straight away and really develps into one of the top 5 defenders in the world. If you Vincent Kompany alongside him they're incredible in about 3 years. How is Torres doing? He's always terrible when I buy him.

In my last game I bought him for about ?15 million and he scored 5 in 30 odd appearances. Managed to sell him on to Chelsea for ?12 million so only made a small loss. He then scored in the next 2 times I played Chelsea.
